Hero's Realm is a great game. I really enjoyed playing it to the end. Thank you for all the work done on his game.

Creating balanced party is a pleasant challenge well managed here. The various classes and the large skill categories give tons of possibilities. When reaching chapter 5, the multi-party really showed the different "personality" of each team as I selected a mage, a warrior and a rogue companions to each hero. Each of the 12 base classes was in my 16-member party until I learned about elite and master classes.

The large overworld map and the dungeons were a pleasure to explore. As I didn't find the map early enough (I found it after Elfros), I used a print screen of Paranor basement world map, tagged it with numbers, and listed the town names. An in-game equivalent would be much appreciated, especially when casting return spell.

At mid-chapter 5, the fighting became too easy and thus turned out to annoy me at some point. Fewer fights and more challenging ones would be best. The too generous experience point's attribution (150% to fighting party and 50% to non-fighting parties, giving a 300% total!) has two negative consequences: characters level up too fast and members of party you don't currently play with gain skills you'll forget to get familiar with. Applying the "Who fights learns!" (100% to fighting party and 0% to non-fighting parties) would be best.

The mazes and puzzles came along nicely as well as the many external references to Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, DragonBall, Linux OS, advanced calculus (Remus University)... You did a very good job to produce a bug-free game. I noticed one left behind: in Norge auction, item like tonic starting at price of 1 gold generate infinite loop of 1 gold bids. There I bought rainbowseed and other seeds for less than 350 gold while I would agree to pay 500 to 1000 gold per stat point increase (so 3000 to 6000 for a rainbowseed).

Conclusion: a great old fashion RPG, thanks a lot!

PS: I'm now a hero ;-)

Your map is very good, especially the party location indicator but lacks town name indications. Write numbers on the map like http://rpgmaker.net/media/content/users/26942/locker/Map2.png , shift it to the left, and display Number-TownName list on the right. It’ll be excellent. Show town names for visited towns only. It’ll be perfect!

When we cast the return spell, we select destination town name from a list while facing a blue screen. We need your map there!

Most people like generous experience and some prefer more challenge... so an in game adjustable Easy/Normal/Hard difficulty option would make everyone happy. :-)
You're welcome.

There is an in-game world map, and not just the one in Paranor either. You need to chat with the Dread Pirate Roberts, do a little fetch quest, and he'll give you his map of the world. You can find him in Koby (south Jomongu). You have to have a boat though.

On the subject of EXP, most people are actually happy that I am so generous with EXP, especially for non-active parties.

Thanks for playing, and thanks for the review!
