I've noticed that my download count has gone up recently and considering that my original completion date on the main page says I expected to be done in June, and my last update was almost a year ago, I wanted to let people know that the game is still in development, it's just a slow going process. I've had to rework a bunch of things, life happened and for a while my interest just waned. But it has always been my intention to finish this game. I expect to have the next portion of the game out before the end of the year, I just need to get my butt in gear. Thank you for sticking with me and thank you to all the new people who have found this game.

Hello! 3.0 is here! Go play the Joker level!
Going forward I'm expecting to make minor updates as bugs or whatnot come to my attention, but other than that the next big update will ideally be by March next year. I know it takes a while between updates, but I'm making all the sprites and music and all that jazz myself, so between aving a full time job and a wife it takes time. Hi everyone. The next update is going to have to be delayed, probably another month, but it’s because I’m putting so much into this level! I’m experimenting with new play styles and scripting tools, and of course the more of this game I make, the more sprites are needed and I strive for a higher quality of sprite. I will be sure to take some time to make some gifs of all the stuff I’m working on so you can see just what is taking so long. Trust me it will be worth it.

Finished working on my Harley and Scarecrow Sprites, so I added gifs of their emotes to the images section. Time to move on to tilesets ...

Looking ahead to when the next update will be all ready. In the best of situations it will probably be 2 months. In all likelyhood it will be three. I have a lot of work to get started on! This time around I’m going for the Joker at Amusement Mile. I will probably include Harley as either a mini-boss or a helper for the main boss fight. If she’s not the mini-boss I have to figure out who to include as a mini-boss … hmmmm. Either way, look forward to it (fingers crossed) by the end of June, maybe start of July.

I’m slightly conflicted about including Harley. I know now-a-days there’s a lot going on about her abusive relationship with the Joker, and I don’t want to continue that. I don’t think it will be too much of an issue since my game is significantly toned down in terms of grim-darkness, leaning toward the 60′s Batman in tone. I think I can pull off a Joker that genuinely cares about Harley and doesn’t just use and abuse her. Maybe go the Grant Morrison idea that Harley is his only connection to humanity.
