Progress Report #51

Well... It’s been a while doing something like this. The 2nd half of 2017 was a bit of a mess for me. Writer’s block, loss of motivation, and university stuff got in the way. I’m starting to get back to developing content for Immortal Sins. So, what have I’ve been working on?

eManual

One of the things I regrettably left uncooked is the game's manual. For a while, it was stuck with very little information. Until now. I have started working on the manual. I have added quite a lot of info on it and polished the presentation a bit. You can take a look at it here: http://northbridgemantis.azurewebsites.net/wiki/doku.php/en/immortalsins

Sure, it still needs work. But it’s coming along nicely.

Re-organizing the project files

While writing the dialogue for the game, there were times that I would hit a block and find my notes for the game’s story (including character notes). While I don't have any bid organization issues, having them all in one place is pretty welcome. I have bought Nimble Writer (which is a text editor designed for novelists, but with some plugins I was able to make it work with what I want) since it adds some features that I wanted to have. I have re-organized the dialogue files and my notes into one file so I can have them in a convenient place. This is mainly a measure to improve my workflow.

That’s pretty much it for the moment. Aside from trying to reduce the game’s size (mainly so I can upload it quicker) most of the things I’ve done are related to the game. I do have an idea to make a QnA post (or possibly a video). If you guys are interested, let me know.

I’ll see you guys in the next post.
