Early Build and stuff

Since I have to go somewhere today and will be gone for a considerable amount of hours, I have submitted an Early Build of the game. This is in no way an indication of what the final game will be like in terms of plot and other stuff. We only worked on TSTW for around 3~4 days so I guess it's expected we wouldn't make it haha.

I plan to keep working on the game for a week and hopefully reach completion by then. Everyone did a great job on it and I want to deliver it as optimized and good as possible :)

Oh, OK. Well, I finished it, and that wasn't very long at all, but it was still a pleasant intro. Here's me notes:

THERESE SAVES THE WORLD

+ The lighting is really good
+ The mapping is vibrant
+ The portraits are well-drawn
~ There are so many skills, I don't know what to do!

~ What do the percentages mean?
+ Therese uses HP for her Special skills. I like that.

- Spam attack much simpler than, and about as effective as, using skills... at least for now.
+ You ever seen lighting this gorgeous in an RM game? All these fogs move, and it contributes to the ethereal setting. Plus, it looks flipping cool.
~ Mechanics are fairly simple, utilizing jump mechanics and lighting candles to open spiritual gates.

~ Maps like these I would say are too simple structurally. I get that it's a short game but I feel more interesting pathways should be created with this jumping mechanic


Overall? Gorgeous mapping, even more gorgeous lighting, gameplay was a bit confusing, and spam attacks could win me battles easily. Hope the level design gets a little more complex soon. Love the atmosphere, and the portraits, and looking forward to the rest of it!

You reminded me that I forgot to add a tutorial stage (oops) and that I purposely gave everyone Lvl 10 to help you skim through it. But I'm so used with experimentation and such that I forget it gets overwhelming for people.

ST is HP. PR is Prana. We'll explain this later in the full game <3

Yeah I thought giving a hard game when there's no reward at the end...was not worth it. And very unfair for the players. I'm sorry about that. ;w;

I'm glad that the mapping and atmosphere is working out though! That is a relief that we're going on the right direction :D

Oh. And 110% means it's 110% times your magic stat? It's hard for me to memorize what these icons mean... I suppose when skills are introduced one at a time it'll be easier to take it all in. :)
Yeah, It's a bad habit of mine to add all skills at the beginning due to reasons haha. Originally I was gonna put everyone at lvl 1 but foolishly thought it's too hard haha.
