Over the next hour or so, I'll be sending the final test build out to all testers! :DDD I am so nervous but also so excited!!! If I somehow forget to send any one of you testers the build and a few hours pass, please let me know and I'll get it to you ASAP!!!

It's been almost five years since I started this project, and it feels amazing to be so close to the end. A huge thanks to all the testers and everyone who's helped me and cheered me on all this time :DDDD <3

Thanks so much, both of you! :DDDD <3

In other news, I have been worrying all day that I forgot something, and it turns out, I did! But it's something that no one will probably find. If you find two very very very hidden items in the final dungeon, and then beat the game, and then take the two items down to the bonus hell dungeon, and then find a hidden-ish hallway, you may be able to put those two items into slots in a wall and open up a small room.

Inside that room is a warp sigil that I forgot to take out that will... kinda... warp you to an earlier part of the game and potentially lock you out of getting back?

So, uh, don't do all that secret stuff. And if you do, SAVE before you put the two items into the walls of that secret hall. >.>;;;

I'm not even going to make an update to fix this yet because it's really really hard to find, and I don't want people to even get into the hell dungeon until they've tested the normal game, and I'll have a little easter egg in that room when its fixed, so just, uh.... don't for now.

Again, it's VERY HARD to do on purpose and you have to beat the game first before you can even do it, so I'm not going to worry about it, but I thought a head's up would be appropriate at least XDXD;;;;;

I'm jotting down all the references (or things I think are references) into an "Easter Egg" sub-section of my notes, and Darigaaz, I have so many of these notes within maybe an hour from my 60% save?

I'll try to have notes about the actual game, too, unity. XD

Thanks, both of you! :D

As a head's up to everyone, content-wise, this last "half" turns out to have more than the first half. If you're confused about how close you are to the end of the game and don't mind location spoilers, I'll list the locations in the second half of the game here:

Sewer Level
Downtown
Toyland Part 1
City Hall
Toyland Part 2
City Hall (Boss)
Temple of Rebirth
Vinclum/Sleeper's Sanctum/Last Cavern
Observer's Shrine
Final Dungeon
Final Boss

I've uploaded a new build for testers. Testers, please download this new version (v2) and move your saves over, if you don't mind!

https://rpgmaker.net/games/8394/downloads/8132/

The long and short of it is that I've already gotten a bunch of great feedback and bug reports from Racheal, Malandy, todpole and piano! One of the errors was pretty dumb on my part, thanks to todpole for giving me the head's up: In one scene in the ending, I had put the wrong NPC into the scene which players might find very confusing XD

This version also includes a lot of the fixes that people reported, and also removes that one game-breaking warp in the room that no one will probably ever find, and replaces it with an NPC telling you to check back later!

Thanks again, everyone! ^_^

Is there a risk of non-testers playing it?

I asked Sooz to try to download it when I put it up, to test this. It seemed to redirect her to the normal game's download since she's not listed as a tester.

If any other non-testers want to test this, go ahead, and see if you get the 60% normal version download or the tester version!

For what it's worth, I tried the link logged off, and it lead to the general download page. Whereas if I try it logged on, it will led me to the download page for, specifically, the Final Test Build Version 2.

Double confirmed?

Sounds good to me! Thanks, Marrend! :DDD
Started listening to the BGM... Haven't heard Get To Kill anywhere. It's real good!

Is it Final Bonus Boss music? Or did I miss hearing it while I turned off the sound somewhere?

No, it's just called Battle music... hmm.

It's supposed to play in every other battle in the Bonus Hell Dungeon.

That works! I just had my sounds off for too long.

...

How random are the battles supposed to be? It seems like saving usually saves the RNG state, keeping the next encounter the same, but sometimes, it rarely doesn't.

Randomnomicon's seems to be saved too. Not 100% sure. I don't Game Over too much anymore, thankfully.

I think I noticed this while playing my own games, particularly with step-based encounters. Well, at least, I noticed it during my more recent play-through of Baclyae Revolution, which uses a step-based mechanic. On-touch encounters might process differently, depending on how they are handled.

I'd like to apologize to a few testers for being slow to respond over the past couple of days. I've been feeling under the weather. Fortunately, I seem to be feeling better today, so I'll get back to those responses ASAP :D

Oh, oops, I forgot to answer this >.<;;;

Most of the time, the encounter order is locked in place, even sometimes when visible enemies are on the field, but there are a few times when it's not XD; I know it's kinda weird but I just went with it depending on how I felt at the time making the specific dungeon.

Thanks for the answer! ... Personal feelings are "Interesting! I wasn't sure that was possible with RPG Maker!"

I'm not sure exactly how it affects the player experience, but I guess they're effectively Beef Gates.

"If you can't beat this enemy, you need to go head back and improve in order to survive the boss."

Or something.

...

If it's supposed to be dungeon specific, then there seems to be a few bugs? I just saw an enemy be different. I was turning around from the Bonus Boss, and lost the battle the first time I nearly made it out.

Testers, I've uploaded the final test build before the actual game is released!

https://rpgmaker.net/games/8394/downloads/8132/

To anyone still testing, it's up to you if you wanna download it and move your save file(s) over. This version has all of the finished art (HUGE THANKS to Maki!!!) and the finished scene for Lamar in Vinclum (HUGE THANKS to Sooz!!!) Also I've rebalanced the early game difficulty (BIG BIG thanks to Starspire for the feedback)

We're super close to the finish line, and I really really want to get it done this month, but we'll see if we're able. :DDD Thanks again to everyone!!!
