Is Lucid Dream considered "normal" difficulty, then?

Yep! :D
Oh nice, you can change it mid-game. I like when games let you do that o3o

Yeah, I prefer it that way, as you never know how difficulty will scale as you play a game, and I like the option to try different difficulties at will. ^_^

re: Mario: Seriously. Picking permanent choices at the very start of a game always baffles me. The only option that makes sense being permenant are DA:O's titular Origins.

Even if difficulty isn't permanent, why have it be chosen at the very start before you have a feel for it x_x

SO YAY UNITY

edit: omg it's makio not mario. i've read it as mariokuta for years. holy shit

Thanks Craze!

There's only three battles before this, so while I worry that it might still be too early, it makes sense to me, pacing wise (and since you can change at any time, if you don't like your choice, you can just change it thru the menu :D)

Sir Redd of Novus: He who made Prayer of the Faithless that one time, and that was pretty dang rad! :D

Regardless of changing it at any time, the fact that there are battles for players to get a feel for at all before choosing a difficulty is amazing. More games should definitely do this!

I was about to scroll up and see who Mario was and what they said before I read this part here. It's time to break out this again.
This is good UI design- specifically the eroding background checker. The RPG Maker message box and the sprite/pixel circles sort of detract from it, but I can't really begrudge you for that.

That makes the "Lucid Dream" choice make a lot more sense, then! I was wondering about why it was (essentially) saying "keep it were it is", when there didn't seem to be any context of what "where it is" is at!

One that's always confused me is if Rachel is Rachael or Racheal. She's Racheal on RMN, but I could've sworn she was Rachael on RMW before she became Yato. Confusion abounds!
