I remember the first thing I saw when I woke up... Embers floating like fallen leaves.

A young amnesiac wakes up in a post-apocalyptic world called Hestria, that was ravaged by a war between magic and machines. She has to survive the horrors of this new world and find out her own missing memories with friends and allies she makes along her journey.
Will they hold the answers she seeks about what happened to the ruined world she woke up to as well as her own past? Or will the answer bring the world further into ruin and destruction? In this world everybody has secrets.

Characters:

Hotaru: A 13 year old girl who lost her memory, she is the main protagonist of the story. She is searching for answers to her past after waking up in a ruined town. She is also transient as a firefly.

Miki: An eccentric girl encountered in the ruins of the town Hotaru woke up in. Her past is as much of a mystery with Hotaru's past, she is also searching for answers and her own father. She is also infatuated with Hotaru and will follow her through thick and thin.

Frey: The enigmatic loyal head butler to Elicia. He appears to be intimidating but is generally usually nice. However, there is more to him than meets the eye.

Elicia: The beloved princess of Getshire who is kind to a fault. She is seen as a ray of hope for the bleakest future by the people of her city. She is also three months pregnant with her butler Frey's child.

Tatiana: Princess Elicia's strict head maid, however; underneath that cold exterior she has a heart of gold.

The future of MoS

When I started this project, I was confident I could finish a large-scale project with just a two person team. Now that I'm older and wiser, I realize just how foolish that was. Neither my girlfriend and I had any idea how to code anything super complex and story-wise, a lot of things didn't make sense.

At first, I took a break from it to work on smaller scale projects when I came to realize working on smaller scale projects is much more fun and easier to do then blindly jumping in headfirst into a large-scale project.

So it is with a heavy heart I must say that Memory of the Fallen Leaves will be placed on a semi-permanent hiatus. The story needs serious rewriting and revising before I can work on it again. I'm not sure how long that'll take us, though.

Great game.. BUT Where can I find the password to the secreat lab??

The room next to the Secret Lab and the Employee Room (marked by wood doors). Check the old diary in there to get clues.

Hint: What would a father consider a "special date"?
Is there somewhere a full version of this game?
I would pay for it *^*

Not yet and most of the resources in here are not allowed for commercial use. If you were paying money for this, you got ripped off.

I don't have an exact estimate of when I'll be finished. Game development is unpredictable.
I have problems with the password, too.
I used all 4 dates in any possible way I could think off.
MMDD and DDMM, I even added them and tried the wedding.
When you refer to the birthday of his daughter it didn't work either.

What? That's strange... Lemmie test this out.
EDIT Oh derp. I accidentally put in the wrong month. Let me fix that posthaste.
The password is Lois's birthday, 1123

EDIT 2 Great, you fix one error and another pops up. Hang on.
I noticed a really nasty mistake in the demo (that displays Lois's birthday incorrectly). I'll be fixing that momentarily, so hang tight.

EDIT: Curses. I'm having some technical difficulties, so I can't upload the fixed build here. Sorry!
I played some of your game. I like the mystery when you start the game. The characters seem slightly generic so far, but the characters do seem to have some personality and banter to each other, so I like that. I also like how snappy the game is overall. No super long cut scenes that plague RM games. A lot of times people will start with a 10 minute intro/info dump explaining the world/characters. I think this info should be fed bits and pieces through the game and that seems like what you are doing.

Combat is also snappy. Battles don't have long drawn out animations. I appreciate battles that are over fast, even if it is default w/ yanfly. I would recommend spreading your skills out a little so there are more options than 'attack' at level 1. Also, the wind spell seems almost OP, it can just about one shot bosses. Overall pretty enjoyable so far, just thought I'd put in my two cents.

I noticed wind and holy do that too. I'll have to mess around a bit and see if I can't fix it.

Other skills besides attack, hm? I'll have to think about what to add that's unique to each character.

Also, funny you should mention Yanfly. I'm actually using some of Yanfly's scripts.
