Forsaken Puts the Player alone in a ancient temple, said to be holy grounds where mortals may have an audience with the Higher Beings. But first, one must be judged worthy by the mysterious Judge Azarel. Azarel sets you on a quest to complete 6 different trials with each their own unique look, feel and gameplay elements. As you complete more trials you'll find out more about the world, the temple itself, the Higher Beings, Azarel and even yourself while discovering there is much more to these trials than meets the eye. Will you overcome all trials and can you unravel the true meaning of the trials and yourself?

Using only TP as mana resource and a DESTRUCTION/RESTORATION skillset to twist the regular RPG MAKER combat system along with QTE in-battle skill enhancement, Skill mastering system where the skills you use the most grow along with the player, several different endings, original soundtrack(in development, all RTP music is placeholder material), an item synthesis system(also still in development), with each weapon having it's own sprite(this too is still in development), using a broad array of Plugins(many, MANY creds to awesome plugin creators like Yanfly, Himeworks, GALVscripts, VictorEngine, Mog, Orange and many more).

This game got difficult quick!

Whoops, didn't mean to put in such a difficulty curve, where excactly did it get real difficult?

monsters naturally do 120 or so HP each hit meaning you have to grind but, that's difficult seeing how multiple enemies can deal that much when you only deal 50-60 HP so either nerf the enemies, buff the heal spell to have a regen effect for one or two turns.
Also after this projects completed what type of game are you planning in making?another thing if you make another dungeon crawler check out driftwood gaming's new "let's make a game series" because, it's got some mechanics that could benefit you!

Yea fixed the healing problem already, albeit in another way (which will be shown real soon), but the enemies are coming in the "fix-it queue" asap! Thanks! :)

Well, I'm currently also side-tracking to make a more action orientated game with real time combat with no turn-based system of any sorts(think "Tales of" series), but it's still in very, VERY early dev so I can't really say anything about it yet, but I'm planning to announce it shortly after I finish Forsaken.
I guess this game is made For the players sake(see what I did there?)
I know a Plugin that could help this game's balancing issue!
SumRndmDde's active Guard/charge or default! They allow you to dodge and your own input, that would help seeing how then it would be your own fault if you got hit instead of a random dodge chance roll!

Hello,
I think i'm stuck in the second trial. I want to reach the skill torch to learn a new skill but i got blocked by the fire. I don't know how to cool it down. I figured that i have to get something from the third trial to fix it, but i can't go anywhere in that area. I also can't get the generator with my current skillset so i can't really proceed. I'm not supposed to grind my level to clear the area without the new skill... right?
Thanks in advance!
I'm glad to see you have chosen to continue with this game. I played the demo and I really liked it. The mapping and puzzles and being trapped in this weird-like prison world were all interesting.
Just found this game and like it a lot,am puzzled about what to do in the Blue Seal Gate, doesn`t seem to be anything to interact with in there!!

Yeah, u reached the end, blue gate is still very much under construction but I decided to keep it in as sort of like a preview. Maybe there's still something in the hallway with the doors ;)

The intention should be indeed that no grinding will ever be necessary, but balancing the game has proven harder than I initially thought so you might've run into some kind of bug in that regard. Is there an specific enemy blocking your path, and if so, which one?

Hey thanks, that means a lot :)

Gotta be honest though, my life has changed a lot since starting the development so the total time I need to complete it may be pretty long still, you know, work and all lol. I do intend to finish it eventually, just can't give an ETA because of all that.

Hope I will be able to work more on it in the future, it should be manageable since it won't be a huge game overall.

Oh no worries, sometimes life can keep us all really busy. Well, what you have so far got me curious and I like it, the design and layouts as you navigate through it are good, or I like it. Doesn't have to be, not all games have to be super long some games that are really good are both short games and medium length but good luck with what you do in the future! :)
