STORY
Their kingdom has run out of water and there has not been a drop of rain for five years. The plants, animals and people are dying. There are some that believe the Goddess punnishes them and makes them suffer. Others believe that they are in charge of their own fate and an artifact can return water to the land now known as Desertopia.
Two parties embark, one party is formed when believers in both theories combine their wits to save the world with either the artifact or a pilgrimage to a holy shrine.
Another party hunts the first party; chasing them through the kingdom on their duty to retrieve the artifact that was stolen by force by a thief in the first party.
There are only a few clear cut good characters and bad characters, but the lines will blur with each character's motivation.
ENEMIES
Enemies have a different dichotomy to them, because you can see them as mist on the map. Therefore you can avoid them, or run from them. If you engage in a battle with them and you run, you see your character run away on the map, which means you can get cornered and survive or die. This puts strategy into battles.
Battles take more than weapons and attacks to win. Instead each enemy has a weakness whether it is an item, an element, magic or simply a crushing blow. This leads to challenges were players will have to think to win.
VISUALS
This is a very visual game and makes use of manipulating the Ruby VX engine to make fire, light spots and various other effects.
