People have been claiming to see some strange things at the local high school during the late hours of the night. Some have claimed to have spotted a motionless figure standing at the windows of the building. Others swear on their life that they have heard the sounds of a woman's screams coming from inside. But, that's all just childish rumors... Right?

Curious about the supposed paranormal activity at their own school, a group of three friends sneak into the building after hours, in order to see if there is any truth to the stories. By splitting up, they hope to find proof somewhere in the quiet halls of the school.

Unfortunately for them, the building might not be as empty as they originally thought...

Turtle Head is Released!

Hey everyone, so I finished Turtle Head on time, but as some of you may have noticed, RMN was down for the past couple of days. But now that it's back, I'm happy to give you all the the final game! I hope you'll all enjoy it!

You may need the RPG Maker MV RTP to play the game. (Run Time Package) A quick Google search will find it.

Currently, I am writing the walkthrough for the game. Until then, if you get stuck, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll try and help you. Please be kind to others and avoid posting spoilers though.

EDIT: I've made a few minor fixes to some spelling and grammar mistakes. I've updated the download section with this new version.

I really enjoyed playing this game a lot. I don't know if I'd describe it as terrifying, but maybe tense would be a better word. I felt nervous moving about expecting turtlehead to show up which was fun. I think the only nitpicks I had were the face portraits and how character expressions stayed the same no matter what the situation. I think having a diverse set of expressions would have helped overall, but it's not a huge thing.

That final chase scene in the truth end was especially hard, but satisfying when I finally nailed it. Any chance, given that ending, of a sequel at all? Even if it didn't follow the same characters (for example, maybe we could follow Mason and what he does in future installments?) that would be pretty cool. I liked the story and the puzzles, although some made you pause and think, weren't too hard where you got stuck and lost pace with the rest of the game (which is a plus in my book). Nice job overall!

Thanks.

I have some vague ideas for a potential sequel, but right now I'm focusing on some other projects first.
Hey, I'm loving the game!!!
I'm near the end, already got the coward end. But I'm stuck.
I have the doorknob, but I don't know what to use it for. Plus Turtle Head broke out of the window of the door without a knob. I tried to get into that door but it didn't work. Please help!
The doorknob is for the door to the left of abandoned building's exit. (The door you go through to get the coward end.)
I don't want to seem stupid but is there a walkthrough for this game?
I unfortunately haven't made one yet. I've been busy with many other things since I released Turtle Head. I'm gonna try and get one up soon though.
I got the 'Truth' ending. Do I win, do I win!?
I did an LP on this game, just uploaded the last video, gonna submit it to media now!

It was a fun game, I didn't really find it scary at all but the story was interesting and kept me intrigued til the end!
I liked it. It was pretty simple, but it's nice too. Slightly creepy but I've seen that trick before in creepypasta land. Great job
I got both second and the third ending, it was a very good game but I wish that we knew more about the turtle head and thee heroin's cousin =) anyway thanks for the great game
Don't know if you still check here from time to time, but I have a question...
SPOILERS:

If the principal's son got killed by him, who did Harriet actually shot? Like, who was the Turtle Head man?

Well, I guess It could be like Jason. You don't know how IT manages, but after all It's alives. Call it "Soul", "Spirit Revenge" or whatever. Without any doubts It'd be called a supernatural phenomena viewed from the "regular" point of view of existence.
Pretty good game. Simple but very effective at the same time! You perfectly managed to make a story like the tipical 80's slasher would have or even others AAA games (Clock TOwer as you said). Congratulations man. Keep going! I loved the atmosphere altought It was a bit difficult to see that Mason was a boy (could be the surname like Harry Mason from SH).

Thanks!

Hello! I just played through this last night and loved it, excellent use of sounds for scares, seriously.

I liked the story a lot too and found the implications really unsettling. All in all very good work!
Can you please give me the game without RTP so I can play it on my Android bro help

I just got done playing this game and I had a blast! It was a very fun, atmospheric and eerie experience. The game had some honestly creepy moments thanks to some very clever usage of interact-able scenery. I really liked the plot and how it unfolded through the notes and newspapers that could be found.

All in all, a very fun experience! :D
Thanks for making this awesome game!

That jumpscare with the continue screen after, what I assume is a ghost turtle head, gets you, and you load back into the game really caught me off-guard and had me actually scared for a few moments there. It also made me suspect that there was a supernatural element to this whole story and the true ending pretty much confirms my personal theory that the current Turtle Head was the vengeful ghost of the principal's son!
For some reason the game’s speed seems to be doubled for me, making the chase sequences near impossible, is anyone else having this issue?
For some reason it posted what I said twice that’s why there’s this random second message here
