Turtle Head is Released!

Hey everyone, so I finished Turtle Head on time, but as some of you may have noticed, RMN was down for the past couple of days. But now that it's back, I'm happy to give you all the the final game! I hope you'll all enjoy it!

You may need the RPG Maker MV RTP to play the game. (Run Time Package) A quick Google search will find it.

Currently, I am writing the walkthrough for the game. Until then, if you get stuck, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll try and help you. Please be kind to others and avoid posting spoilers though.

EDIT: I've made a few minor fixes to some spelling and grammar mistakes. I've updated the download section with this new version.

A few days to release!

Hey everyone! There's only a couple of more days left until Turtle Head is finally released!

I hope you're all looking forward to downloading and playing it. I'm positive that it will surprise and impress all of you RPG Maker horror fans.

As most of you are aware, the game was originally set to come out at the end of March. I can't go into specific details (As it would ruin the game.) but in the last month the game has seen a lot of progress and changes, and is most definitely far superior than it was when I was initially going to release it. Delaying the game was most certainly a choice for the better.

New Release Date

Hey Everyone!

I know this may come as a disappointment to some, especially since the game was meant to come out today, but I have decided to move Turtle Head's release date to the end of April.

Currently, the game is technically finished and functional, and could still be released right now if I wanted. But after some long discussion with the game's testers, I've decided to completely refine some aspects of the game. When it comes to the plot/pacing, we felt that there could be more added/adjusted that would make the overall experience significantly better, and far more memorable.

Although I'm disappointed that I was unable to stick to my stated release date, I feel that these planned changes will be well worth it in the long run. Unfortunately though, this will take time, and an extra month is a reasonable amount for me to implement the changes I have in mind.

Once again, I'm sorry to those that were looking forward to downloading the game today. I hope you understand that this decision was made in the interest of releasing a far superior game than what you would have been originally playing.

March 17th Update

Hey Everyone! I'm pleased to say a teaser trailer has been made for Turtle Head!

Not only that though, but I have some news about the recent progress of the game. I've made some more assets to improve on the visuals of the environments, so the last batch of maps are taking just a little longer than I planned.

Not to worry though, everything is going well and I should still meet the March 31st deadline two weeks from now. Until then, I'll be sure to update with more screenshots during this period.

I also want to mention that tests of the game's current build have gone incredibly well, and the game's features and horror atmosphere has been well received.

Thank you all for your interest in the game, and I hope you'll enjoy it once it's released.

Progress Report

Hello everyone! Thank you all so much for your interest in Turtle Head! It really made my day when I saw this had made the front page.

Anyways, I think an update on the games progress is long overdue. Most of my time since my last post has been spent on the fine tuning of the game's story and custom audio effects. Due to this, I haven't really had much in the way of new visuals to show in screenshots.

But not to worry! The majority of the tilesets are finished, and the rest of the game's maps are in the process of being built. For now, I'll leave you all with one new screenshot, but expect a few more in the next week.

Also, I have decided to move the game's release date from mid-March to the end of March. This is because of a few new ideas I've decided to implement, as well as to ensure the game is tested and polished as best as it possibly can be.
