Trial is a short puzzle game which shouldn't take anyone more than an hour to complete. It was developed in a week. I believe it to be bug-free, but if not you should probably let me know.
You will take control of the Dreamer. A character with no backstory and no personality given that he has no past and no future. I will not say more given the length and objectives of the game.
Inspirations during development include, but is not limited to:
the RPG Maker games like Off and Taut, the movies Beyond the Black Rainbow, Blade Runner, Waking Life and Cube.

Came back here after a little RPG Maker break, I was pleased to see that this game has (almost) reached 300 (299 right now to be exact) downloads!
To celebrate I reuploaded the game once again with some touchups and fixes.
. The visual snow effect is in every indoor location which in the end version only made it to the first map.
. Typo fixes!
. The 2nd puzzle was a little broken so I fixed it.
. The teleport effect in the third trial is a little less choppy, impossible to completely remove that frozen frame though, it works everywhere else where I use that effect.
. The decision tree at the end of the game was reworked to offer the hint on how to properly finish the game more promptly.
Once again, feel free to share how you felt about this short game as a comment or to offer whatever improvements and suggestions you may have.

It means a file from the RTP (Run Time Package) is missing. Instead of installing the RTP (there are 2 or 3 depending of the version it was made in), you can try to launch it with the EasyRPG Player in the game folder : https://easyrpg.org/player/.
