I haven't read the mails yet, I'm sorry! I'll answer you asap : )
But I'm not sure if I understood what you're asking. What do you mean with "changing the script" and mastery level = bonus?
I already nominated Theia for a few misaos.

Goodwork LRD!

For now I have to test for each stronger monster/boss how high I get the mastery bar. Then I must reload, change the mastery to this level and repeat the fight.
That is awkward, you should learn and setup the mastery and then the promised bonuses should appear for reaching the level of the mastery bar during a fight.
Uh, why do you need to test that? The mastery bar doesn't affect much but bonuses you get after battle. The higher you get, the better they'll be.

The Mastery choice you make in the menu just lets you choose a bonus for in-battle that will activate when you get to that level on the mastery bar. It tells you in the menu itself what that bonus is. This only happens in battle and you can get it over and over again in the same battle. It does not affect anything outside of battle.

An example:
If you equip the Strength Mastery to level 2 then when you reach level 2 on the mastery bar in battle your group gets a big bonus to your Force (attack) for as long as you are above level 2 in the mastery bar. It will trigger again each time you get over that amount.

After battle, the Strength Mastery doesn't do shit - no matter what level. If you finished the battle with level 1 on the mastery bar then you get the bonuses for finishing with the characters you have in that battle. If level 2 then you get a bit more of a bonus, if level 3, the highest bonus you can get (I believe the bonuses are along the lines of level 1 - 7%, level 2 - 14% and level 3 - 25%).

What bonuses you get depends on what characters you have in battle (you can see what bonuses you will get based on the little symbol below their face in battle) and how full the mastery bar is when you end the battle.

The only reason I can see that you'd try to do a battle again is to get bigger bonuses by aiming for level 3 every time, but battles do respawn so you might as well just fight the enemies.

Also, it shows you on the mastery bar what level you put the Mastery skill at so you don't need to recheck that over and over again. You can't level up your Mastery skills or anything. You just unlock them by getting items and then spending AP on them, then choose which ONE you want to set for battle and at which level. That's it. It's simply a small extra bonus during battles to help you out.

I am using the Fast Learner Mastery (more AP). Same will apply for Greed (more money) and an EXP (I haven't that yet).
Uhm. I still don't get your problem. Liberty explained the Mastery quite well, after all.
With Fast Learner, Greed and so on you simply get a AP, Zenits or XP boost at the end of the battle instead of having in-battle buffs. Of course, the higher the level you set, the higher the boost will be. You should reach lv3 easily in boss fights so you can set them to lv3 before a boss fight starts. If you wanna play it safely, set them to lv2 instead.
I don't get the reset thing, to be honest.
I think I have the knack for the masteries now. I am bad at writing and I don't no how to formulate my problem better.

But now I have my problems with the Sands of Oblivion.
Are the maps fully randomized? The Desert Map isn't helping a bit.

This are the items I found so far:
Healing Pearl x3, Gaia Shard x4, Golden Shard x3, Theia Trivia #09, Aloevera x3, Sharp Atlas, Megaton

For writing a guide such an area is troublesome. Any tips are welcomed.
I think I have it now, but please check the found items.
The Sands of Oblivion maps are

Random until you get the map later. Just wander a bit until a cutscene starts.

For the items I need to check the project in RM2k3 but I'm not at home now. I'll check the chests and I'll tell you what you can find in the whole "dungeon".
I have trouble with the "Stolen Laboratory" side quest.
I have started it in Adeel, but he only talks about missing his alchemy set.
After downloading your Italian guide I tried to find a clue, but I can neither find something in Adeel, Tamalian or the Sands of Oblivion to progress the quest.
You need to accept a Hunt in Tamalian to go after Bog and his gang. Then you'll find them in the plant-infested part of the village!
This game is awesome...

BUT so far it's way too easy. I'm playing on Normal difficulty, because I was afraid of choosing the harder one since I just finished God of War PS4 (where Normal was still challenging and Hard was just brutal). Maybe in hindsight, since I've been playing RPGs for decades I should have picked the higher difficulty setting. I do wish you could change it mid-game. Were there any other changes besides less XP?

I'm about 7-8 hours in and have had zero trouble (Chapter VI). Regular mobs are cakewalk and boss battles are easy -- if the boss is not dead by the time my Exceed gauges reach their limit, then the Exceed skill will obliterate them.

Tell me the game gets harder? I think the most difficult part so far was playing as
Nadia and Alison in the slums in Chapter VI, but because I had Grant that section was made easy
Did you ever play Final Fantasy X? Theia: The Crimson Eclipse seems to be similar: From what I hear, there's smooth sailing for about 90 % of the game, but your party will be obliterated later by certain optional enemies.
The game's easy for me too. Of course, I made it so my opinion doesn't count XD
Many people said that's balanced... I don't really know what to say. I guess you're good at RPGs.
Late to the party, but congrats on the release! Will be trying it out later today.
