March updates, demo 1.5 coming soon

Work has been progressing slowly this month but I've still been working on it and I hope to have an updated demo soon (next two weeks maybe). Been busy writing reviews and dealing with real life issues but I'm starting to get some more time to work on TM.

That being said, I'm way overdue for an update!

So what I've been working on these past 2-3 weeks is fixing stuff in the demo, lots and lots of art re-working my goals for the game.

I didn't get that much feedback back from my demo but the amount I did get to helped me see a bunch of errors in my code/ events that needed fixing.

As for art, I've spent about a week on new character designs that all will inhabit the city
-which is where a lot of events are going to take place so I wanted varied character designs-

Then after that I've been working on parallax mapping the city and this is where my time has been spent the most with very little results, I can't seem to make up my mind how I want the city to look. In my mind I want it to be a hybrid of a modern day city and and a small village found in other JRPG games.

Unfortunately I don't seem to like any of the maps I make and I keep scrapping them and trying to make them look better. At the end of the day, I think I'm just gonna have to settle with what I made and just accept that it will not look how I want it and move on.

Finally, it is clear to me that if I continue at this pace that I won't even be close to finishing the game until about September, which is not what I want at all. But my original goal of finishing it by the end of April is no longer a viable goal so I'm going to be shooting for around June/July to have the game finished. That's assuming that I actually can finish implementing everything I want in that time and that I don't spend two weeks working on the same map over and over again.

oh and i made detailed lists about exactly how many people, enemies, maps ect. that i want to make.

5/7 main character designs finished
2/7 main character battler designs finished (Leon and Ferna)
0/7 main character face designs finished (the ones in demo are just temporary)

6/13 enemy designs finished (although some skills have been made for some enemies that don't exist yet...)

4/ 10 songs composed

9 / 33 total maps finished

all maps include
3- for drix
3- for fairy forest
2 - for phixie village/great tree
10 - for city
5 - for mountain area
5 - for heaven
5 - for underwater areas

not including the interior of builds and such, which I might just not let the player enter some if time becomes a factor

Other features I want to include:
- bartering system for stores
- other options besides "story mode " (this may not be done)
-side quests and random events

And yeah, hopefully with more things written out, I can focus on those tasks and get them done quicker
