Starts very slow, but It gets good.

My thoughts about it:
I'm still playing it, I like it, the ambientation is good, the graphics in general are cute, some areas can be a bit too dark though.

It is true that the intro cutscenes are too long, it has some grammar errors and some dialogues lack logic, but is that really so unforgivable? The game is well made, and as a fan of survival games I am enjoying it.

The artist did a wonderful job with those talksprites, I would like to see more of it.

I think the game is being heavily criticized, for real errors, but it's absolutely not worthless, these things can be fixed.

My opinion on how to work with cutscenes:
The developer said somewhere they felt like the long presentation was necessary for the player to know about the characters, mechanics, story etc, I think this is because the dev is thinking in the introduction of the game as if it was a movie, and it certainly works, you end having the information in your brain, but let's be realistic, the player(specially in this genre) wants to start struggling with danger soon.
I think the solution for this is sacrificing part of the plot and character development in the intro, and saving it for spontaneous moments.

For example, if we want to show Lily as a somewhat whinny vegan, the scene in the mine shows that, and shows her reasons, but we could simply remove it and make her scold Matt for saying anything meat-related in the middle of events, or... Simply reject meat.
I feel that this scene shows something about their everyday life, but letting players taste a bit of danger earlier could have more benefits.

1-The player can taste the gameplay mechanics, if they like it, they will be interested in more, and they could gain tolerance, or even interest about character development.

2-I think the effects of the danger in Matt and Lily, can show a more interesting aspect of their everyday life when they talk about it, emotions burn in the middle of danger, exploit it, they are a good couple and a good idea for the game's system.

About logic:
Their conversations can feel a little out of place sometimes, that's easy to fix.
I can see dev's intention with the first scene in the kitchen with our adorable cook was to introduce her and to let the player discover that her candies are not just candies, but, I think it would be more interesting to let Matt and Lily discover that for themselves in the middle of the game.

Imagine Lily, not wanting to eat meat, experiencing hunger, being alone and eating one of those, she could be terrified of the effect, and the truth behind these items could come after the experience, again, action also gives information.

To make it short:
It has potential, given the survival element is there and it's good, it has errors, but these are nowhere near the point of no return.

The best of luck.

EDIT:Reading it again, I think this review wasn't very objective, since it must show what a game is, and not what it should be.
My intention with this was to show that the game wasn't a lost case, but given certain level of positivity can be misleading, I'm changing the score from "4-Good", to "3-Average", sorry for the inconvenience.

I don't feel like you've done a good job reviewing the game. This seems to be a list of talking points to rebuke the other review instead of an overview of the work. Nothing about this describes the game as a whole or provides potential players an idea of what they're getting in to.
Things are getting pretty tense, huh

Oh, I don't know about that. I'll admit, this review is a bit thread bare, but one could look at it as merely being a point of view that focuses on the positive elements of the game. I'm not sure how he can justify four stars, but I agree with his talking points. I, however, in my own assessment, cannot simply gloss over and dismiss the abundant and obvious problems this game has.

I can see your point, but really I didn't try to counter the other review, my intention was to show that not everything was lost, since the errors in the game can be fixed, very easily in my opinion.

I actually wanted to discuss this with the developer, I know this isn't very objective, since a review must show what it is, and not what it could be.

It seems I won't have a chance anyway, since, as you may have noticed, the dev got banned, it seems.

Yeah, I'm not surprised he got banned, but there are other people involved in developing this game that seem to come in on his behalf, so if they have something to say, you will probably get some kind of opinion.

Not like we could force you or anything but I'm glad you changed it to the 3 stars. That states it's a very average game with good and bad points. Between all the reviews BW has now you can see there are things that are done right.

I sadly just won't play it now for a lot of reasons

They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

LOL if anyone thinks the dev was going to change any of the fundamental problems with the game, banne or no.
