Howdy ho, Jaymonius here with some blogging and progression reports. I'm slowly but surely continuing the main story of the game. Just got that forest dungeon finished. Since 1/3 of the game was recruiting the heroes. Now it's the 2/3 of the game which is more about the conflicting elements interacting more.

If you noticed during the run in the game, each of the incarnates would react negatively to their polar opposites, I want to expand on it and make each of them a mini episode of their own in a way as they are making their way through the world etc.

But this also got me thinking, what is your guys opinions on multiple endings? I know I made mention of this of making a "Bad Path", in which I"m still planning on doing, but I'm more thinking specifically character endings of each character. What's your take on them? I'd really like to hear some opinions.

I ask mostly because I have been thinking of doing character endings based on your involvement with them, and factors like who Zack fuses with more, and talks with more, etc.

GIMME OPINIONS, I MUST HAVE THEM!

Anyway, imma make lunch now. :P

I'm a big fan of multiple endings, especially if you can still have some influence over them late in the game (so that you don't need to replay the entire game every single time to experience every ending). Since it seems character based, you might look at what FF6 or Ogre Battle did for endings.

In FF6, every trigger (in this case, recruitment) was simply added on to the overall ending. So the endings didn't differ so much as became fuller.

Ogre Battle, meanwhile, gave a recap of all the major characters in your group at game's end. This recap would vary by character based upon actions, but again more or less built up through the game rather than have strictly separate story lines.

Of course, you could do strictly separate story lines. I just figured I'd throw out a couple of other thoughts.
You might want to check into Star Ocean 2. I haven't played it myself, but I hear that as the player mixes and matches characters in certain situations/events throughout the course of the game, they wind up as Couples/Best Friends in the end, and there's a different dynamic to each paired ending cinematic.
