P6 Blog #17 Changing Idle Pose

Hey there, Jaymonius here with some creative criticism required and the like.

So for the last while I've looked at Valerie's idle pose and just went... it looks... ehhhh... making a idle pose for her has proven... fruitless, so I went with the next best thing.

I'd have to touch it up a little bit, but it'd be the basis for it at least. What's your input mates?

I'm not 100% sure what you mean by "fruitless." The new version looks fine to me, and much better than the old. Yes, the new version is a bit generic, but I would not call that a bad thing in this case.

If we're casting votes, then mine's for the New one. Otherwise, I think they both look fine. Great, even. I'm really looking forward to seeing this one complete.

Old version looks awkward with her arm fully extended, new one looks perfectly fine to me.

New one, for sure, as a swordsman I can tell you it makes no sense to have the arms fully extended, especially with a large sword like that, you'd tire, it also makes her look very open, the new one however; she looks feisty and ready for a scrap.

Yeah, GreatRedSpirit's comment was my exact thoughts as well, hence why I wanted to change it for months but couldn't think of anything, so I went with the generic pose, which works for her considering her weapon of choice.

The pose has been implemented already into the game, I just need to change the moving and hurt poses as well, but that shouldn't take long for me.

@RPGFan28 I agree fully, though Valerie isn't really feisty though, haha.

She doesn't really insult people like that, but she's very... gung-ho about her job, so she won't hesitate to put unruly people in their place. With a bit of tsundere added in the mix, haha! XD
