What type of status ailment's do you not like? I definitely don't like those instant death attacks.

I hate instant death attacks on common enemies and especially if you can't prepare by getting instant death immunity spells or equipment. No, not instant death resistance, that puts it up to chance. IMMUNITY!

Otherwise, I don't hate most other status effects. Especially if they're as useful for you to use as they are harmful for you to have.
Yeah, I'm trying to have other status ailment's like poison and blind to have a positive effect aside from being a negative status effect. I do have ailments like Burning that acts as poison, but you can't recover HP, but on the bright side, it makes you immune to burning. As one example. :P
Default rpg maker paralysis. I don't really think I need to say anything more than that.
Yeah, I treated paralysis on rm2k3 like petrification, since it behaved that way anyway. Nowadays I have paralysis behave with 0% evasion, and reduced speed to 25%. So, it helps maintain momentum, but not shut you down completely.

Though I do have Frozen as a unable to move status ailment, but when frozen, you can't move, and you're weak to physical attacks, but luckily, when getting hit, you lose the status ailment.
That seems a lot more reasonable, and makes sense. I remember rpg maker's original paralysis state completely immobilizing you for 5 or 6 turns which was hilariously terrible. I'm digging the creativity you're putting into your status effects.

Random enemy. Luckily the Wraith only uses it on one enemy.
If the reward for beating the Wraith was snazzy enough, I'd look forward to finding and beating its face in. Uh...assuming it has a face.
Well, it's not a difficult enemy. But it will have a rare drop and a rare weapon to steal from as well.
