I quite enjoyed this! There's nothing like playing a game where you intimately know the first half but have no idea what the second half is like XD! Thanks for finishing this, Ocean :DDDDDD

Also, because I am stupid, I forgot to put this in the credits: The awesome facesets were made by JosephSeraph for the MOG event. Sorry Jo! I am dumb and scatterbrained sometimes ;_;

Just finished playing this.

Overall, it's very well done and the battle mechanics were pretty solid for a relatively casual experience. I'm a bit of a sucker for vampire/thriller themes in general, too!

My only real complaint is that the second half of the game (that takes place in the castle) was kind of dull compared to the first. Enemy troops were recycled and at this point of the game (especially if you manage to clear the miniboss), your party is not longer truly threatened by anything, so battles actually became kind of pointless.

It even used the bat npc for everything when the first half had distinguishable monster graphics to clue you in as to what you were getting into, and all of those NPCs didn't have as much variety in movement patterns as the first.

Other than that, I did find Reynard's name misspelled as "Raynold" a few times in the item descriptions, and Werewolves aren't weak to silver knives? Wut (okay that last one was a nitpick more or less)?

Even so, I enjoyed what I played!

Glad you liked it! I can't believe I didn't think to make werewolves weak vs silver! That seems like such an oversight XD;;;
I need to sub to you, unity! I loved Luxaren Allure, so I bet this is a good game too!

Thanks a lot, Ron! This game was made for a contest so it's a bit on the short side, but I hope you enjoy it! :DDDD
God, I LOVE the music!
(ahem, I'll maybe comment when I played the entire game, haha)

Yeah, of all the games I've played from this contest so far, this one might be my favorite. It started off REALLY strong, with tough enemies and a healthy variety of skills to use! Though I'll admit that I only used 1-2 skills per character by the time the game ended. I never spent enough time in battle to actually be able to use some of the later TP skills for Carmelita and Reynard, but just sticking with Silver Knives, Hell Mist, Rock Pummel (then later June Mermaid), Holy Water carried me through he whole game anyway.

But when you finally got to the castle, the hype kinda fizzled out. Not just because there was a lack of interesting new concepts, but because the AOE skills on the characters became all I needed to clear them all out. All the variety set up just wasn't utilized very well.

Then the way the villain was beaten just felt half-hearted, to be honest. I think there was an attempt to turn it into a comedic ending, but it just left me with the feeling of burn out rather than a great finale.

As a minor nitpick, Michelle felt like a rather boring character, at least when viewed next to the other three. Compared to them, Michelle just came off rather plain without any interesting backstory or personality to her. Perhaps if she wasn't a part of the game and the battles were focused around the remaining three, there would have been more cool moment with them.

Overall though, I really did enjoy it. I loved the Castlevania atmosphere and tone!
Blasphemy! Michelle had her random skill which was super awesome and cool~ If you didn't spam that every battle you were playing wrong! XD
