Be friendly and social! Or cold and serious...

You take control of Ella, (or whatever you decided to name her), a veteran hunter who takes on contracts that usually involves monsters making problems. Your first contract of the day concerns a Minotaur who have been appearing in town lately scaring the locals. You can either go take care of the contract immediately without interacting with anything or take the time to talk to everyone you see.

Depending on your choices; actions, people and monster's dialogue and reaction to you will differ, the music will change to fit the tone of your actions, and Ella's face will reflect what kind of person she is in the status menu. Talking to people and monsters alike and giving them positive answers will generally make the mood of the game similarly to, "Ooh! I wonder what I can do next!" whereas ignoring everyone; giving unsympathetic responses will drastically change the mood of the game to that of, "Finish the job quickly and move on..." There's also a neutral stance where nothing really special happens if you don't take either the positive or serious stances.

Should you be positive, then everyone will generally talk to you more; even invite you to their house to talk some more where you get to know them and monsters in the beginning of the game won't attack you; instead have small chit chat with you. By the way, if an npc doesn't have a avatar; name, and when you "talk" with them, there will be a black screen for a few seconds; then they'll say something like,

"Thanks for talking with me!"

Yup! It was nice talking with you too! Even though I had no idea what we were talking about just now!

If you decide to be a serious hunter, then people will shy away from you; monsters will attack you on sight.

Battles

In the beginning of the game, battles aren't won with brute strength with just your favorite/strongest spell. You actually need to read the effects of what each skill does; use them accordingly to each fight to win. Enemy using block and counter? Use a fast skill with priority to damage them so they can't block fast enough! Enemy keeps regenerating health? Burn them so the burn damage will be equivalent to the amount of health they could heal!

Sadly in the second later half of the game, it's just about using brute strength to win, and also battles are now random encounters. The random encounters in this game is pretty high, I can't take more than 5 steps without being in a random battle! Monsters in the second half also have spells that can take half or two-thirds of your health! Thankfully there's accessories that will reduce the damage from certain elements, but there's only one of each in the game (that I know of); enemies can still attack other party members which will greatly damage them. Thankfully you have a key item that will teleport you back to town where you can rest for free whenever everyone is low on health and sp.

Coins which can be obtained from defeating monsters and from chests are plentiful so you never have to grind for coins to buy items. There's also no leveling as you automatically learn new skills from progressing with the story; skills are automatically known depending on your companion's current weapon.

The game lasts around 1 hour should you go through it only once. But since there's replay-ability, you can play it multiple times to see what changes depending on your choices and actions; then the gameplay can last 2-3 hours instead! A short game with lots of details which can entertain you should you look out for them.

Wow, thank you for the awesome review! I'm very happy that you enjoyed looking around for the different gameplay/mood changes!
No problem, good job on making me feel good about taking the positive stance; a bit more guilty for the serious stance!
