August and the Abyss is a short RPG about short RPGs. Developed in two weeks by Subzero_Dragon (first half) and Craze (latter half) for a Swapsies event, it focuses on the relationship and trials of two people trying -- perhaps not hard enough -- to make a name for themselves.
So, grab your sword, sketch out your plans, and visit Rose Elm for a chance to get famous... by delving into the Abyss.
And, if you are denied, you can always try again, right?

Heh. Okay, I did not expect this. This game made me smile quite a lot. I totally did not expect this slice-of-life take one bit, and I love it~! My original concept was meant to be cliché-riddled, goofy, and not take itself seriously. Look what you did to it! You took the ball and slam-dunked it! Well done, I approve heartily~!

The ending felt... unsatisfying and empty. I'd like to see a "true" ending(ex: August learns his lesson and makes his game better, getting accepted.) Don't get me wrong, the ending as it stands suits the game's silly nature, but I guess it felt hollow in the end. Still, 10/10 from me~!
This was amazing! I loved the twist, and I'm super honored that I got a cameo! I'm totally switching my avatar to the faceset you gave me in this game, Craze! XD

aaaahhhhhh I found an error that crashes the game :(
When I first got to town, could not use the shops so decided to fight the snowman.
Then I went to the Priest and asked for a blessing to heal my wounds.
After getting the blessing which does not appear to do anything, I got this:
ERROR Failed to load: audio/me/Organ.ogg
and had to begin again :(
After the Acolyte joins you and you fight fight the snowman again the error does
not happen again, but still you do not get healed by the priest.
Unless I'm expecting something that is not supposed to happen :)
