Lenora-vision activate!


Dive into a colourful world through the lenses of childish perception, and join Lenora, the protagonist, in her happy daily life at the village. You will appreciate, through music, art and game progress, the feelings and reflections Lenora must face; to fight ferocious enemies, take risks with uncertain results; bear responsability for her village´s future while being just a young and pure girl.




Character Background and Development

Lenora´s background in the village is clear and well established.
(Besides in the bonus room you can see all character´s personalities and past, so it´s all good)


It feels at the beginning that characters are one-dimensional, and that may end on a boring sensation after playing, but when considering the different endings we can realize that, as in life, all people can change in different ways.
(On the ending when Lenora challenges the Huntsman, he goes berserk and tries to destroy her together with the village. If becoming the Huntsman´s apprentice instead, he keeps fighting wolves in different villages together with Lenora instead, even if always asking for money. Lenora can end up walking different paths of life; besides the already mentioned, fighting wolves by herself (enemy of wolves), or becoming friendly with Avel (ally of wolves))


Lenora always have the best intentions for the village. She always wants to do the right thing. But her path and results change nonetheless. I think that´s life.
The game and characters are simple, but well executed.



Soundtrack - graphic design and concept of art

The art may seem a little too pink, and too single-colored, but those aesthetics fit well with the game. More than that… the protagonist is a little girl, and we see the world through that girl´s eyes. This art perfectly reflects this according to the game´s events.
(Put yourself in Lenora´s shoes for a while. She´s just a child, a country bumpkin in the middle of a forest populated by wolfs. Inside her village is safe, inhabited by her friends and family. Outside, a hostile environment; ferocious wolves dwelling in the forest.
The village is completely pink-colored, and the wolves and final bosses have sometimes illogical sizes and expressions because that’s how she sees them. We are always in Lenora-vision mode. Now, sometimes the scenery is all-black, all-yellow, etc. Their meaning is debatable, but I maintain that helps reflecting Lenora´s mood and mental status.


This kind of concept of art is seldom seen (to this extent) on children-protagonist RPG´s. Helps us a lot to understand better Lenora´s feelings and the game´s events (for example, how hard/ frightening a battle is for her). Amazing result achieved by simple, subtle reality perceptions.

Most of the soundtrack may be simple but helps displaying tender, difficult and disturbing emotions properly in every situation, fitting well with Lenora´s personality and feelings for every character and her village.



Interface and user interaction

Good and simple. You can run around and interact freely. Interface it´s simple to the point you don´t even need to equip stuff, and there´s little information to display on the status screen.
It may be hard, when battling, to see items and skills properly, sometimes having long names difficult to read on the colored background. I think it would be more practical for them to shorter those and add the full name in the description, but when getting used to it it´s not a big deal.

Story development

The story changes according to the decisions you make and the events taking place. This is usually a bit hard for multiple-ending games; however short, the game is long enough for the player to enjoy, yet short enough to play again and get a different ending, also introducing you to epilogues after each ending. Worth playing.
