(The game has been released, down it here!)

Looking for an epic story-line spanning chapters upon chapters of rich narrative and thought-provoking plots? Well look no further! No seriously, look no further (at this game)!

You are Elsa, the leader of a team of four ragtag adventurers. You, along with Sally, a violence-obsessed maniac, Henry, the terrified knight, and Dorn, a blissfully simple fellow, will make your way, like many other adventurers, to Normand Village. And what a peaceful town it is! That is, except for the gigantic dungeon that opened up. Because of that, the town has become quite the tourist attraction with many adventurers going into the dungeon, and few coming out. There's plenty of monsters to kill and treasures to find, and who knows! There may even be an amulet of incredible power at the bottom of the dungeon!

But you won't know until you get there. If you can survive this place, that is. So stop by the item shop and stock up on consumables and weapons, and get ready for a challenging crawl through a peril-ridden dungeon filled with tough enemies and lots of cool treasure to find. Find different weapons, all with their own unique skill sets to equip and swap around among your party. Will your ragtag team be the first to make it to the bottom, or will you wind up as monster-chow like so many others? Or perhaps, both?

Features
- Combat-focused dungeon crawler, where your equipment decides your skills.
- Character roles are fully customizable due to your selected weapons, augments, and spell-rings.
- Uniquely edited RTP graphics featuring a 1-tile-high dynamic (aren't those tiles adorable?).
- Custom (using RTP edits) battle animations, featuring a unique first-person weapon point-of-view (you'll see your sword as you swing it!).
- Look at those CUSTOM FACE PORTRAITS. LOOK AT THEM!
- 25 levels of dungeon crawling!
- It's hard. Seriously. You will not breeze through this dungeon, you will need to invest in all your gear and items to have a chance to make it to the next checkpoint!
- Custom battle and victory music by yours-truly, featuring perhaps the funkiest victory music on this side of RMN!
- DANCE

Battle Demo

ARE YOU READY FOR THE TOWN PORTAL SCROLL???

This game now celebrates its 100th download! Along with it, a patch!

That's right, a patch. I originally didn't have this in mind, but I've been convinced: two things needed to be fixed, first, the mana starving of staff-users, and secondly, the fact that players may perish in the dungeon without a means to return to town at a good pace. So what has been done?

1. Mana starve-b-gone.

As of this patch, every staff in the game now gives its wielder +10 to their maximum mana. That's right, +10! Were you getting a bit bummed that you couldn't sling quite that many spells until you got to a higher level? Worry no more: you will now have access to double the starting character's mana points when you are wielding a staff!

2. TOWN PORTAL SCROLL

Introducing the TOWN PORTAL SCROLL. That's right. This scroll right here is what it's all about. People have complained, and I have answered.

"Gredge, I'm out of health and resources and I need to get back to town."

TOWN PORTAL SCROLL.

"I'm standing in front of a boss and I'm sapped of all my supplies."

TOWN PORTAL SCROLL.

"But Gredge, this icon kinda' looks like a ma--"

TOWN PORTAL SCROLL.

Beastly. Powerful. Teleport-y. Portal Scroll.

Get yours today, now available at the town store, at the bottom of the consumables shopping list! Get your today!

3. How to use the patch.

Step 1. Download it at the top of this game profile (make sure it's version 2).

Step 2. Install it.

Step 3. Copy your save files from the older version's folder of the game, and paste them into the new.

Step 4. Start playing the game and get the TOWN PORTAL SCROLL.

Looks interesting. I enjoy a good dungeon crawl every now and then! :D

This part confuses me, though. "Well look no further! No seriously, look no further, because this is not that game!" Look no further means, "Hey, you, looking for epic story-line spanning chapters upon chapters of rich narrative and thought-provoking plots, look no further because you've found it here." If that's not this game, and I want a game like that, then I do need to look further to find a game with an epic story-line spanning chapters upon chapters of rich narrative and thought-provoking plots. Which makes the whole "look no further" thing not make sense to me!
Thanks Uni, I'm glad it caught your eye!

I was going for a play on the words "look no further" to mean, "literally, don't look at this game further," but it probably didn't come across as I intended. I'll probably change the wording.

Thank you for your comment!

Ah, I see. I get it now! ^_^

Maybe just change the end to "Look no further (at this game)" to clear it up?

If I may suggest, once this game gets a download, consider changing it to something like, "Well, look no further! No, seriously, stop looking at this gamepage, and hit that 'Download Now' button!"

That goes back to the original problem, as that would suggest that this game contains the "epic story-line spanning chapters upon chapters of rich narrative and thought-provoking plots" that it does not have, though. Thus killing the joke XD
The silly custom face portraits remind of of Subterranean Starfield. That dungeon crawler is like the opposite of this since it had non-silly custom character art but the monsters were cartoon-like.

Hmm, can we rob a shopkeeper and then get killed 'cause they turn out to be a powerful optional boss? It ain't a dungeon crawler/rogue-like unless you can shoplift and die!

Good feedback you two! I'm wondering if it would be better if I changed it to something along the lines of, "while the actual heroes are off saving the world..." and then going into the narrative.

That's one of Rhyme's games, right? I heard he always makes tough games. I think this one will be... rather tough. I mean, I actually have died and had to reload on some of my own bosses, and tweak them over and over again to get them difficult, yet not overwhelming.

I kinda' like that idea! Hmm, the item vendor updates their inventory after every boss kill, so that's rather tricky. I have been working on some mini-games in the town. I just got done programming a dance mini-game for the last couple hours. So who knows what'll come next!
This looks pretty cool, Gredge! I bet that the weapon-based combat will be a pretty fun feature to play around with.

Haha, it won't be long! Got some more floors to put in, but I'm well over half-way done overall.
Please note: Someone just downloaded the old version as soon as I uploaded the newly patched one. I had not yet switched version 2 to the main download yet. Please download version 2 (it's switched to the main download, now)!
