Today's Forecast: Blue Skies... with Dark Clouds abroad...

Hello fellow Gamers, Gaming Paladin back for another review, Blue Skies!

i'm going to jump to the heart of the matter right away, talking about the Story aspect... i have mixed feelings about the Story of this RPG, to be quite honest it was really all over the place! sometimes trying to be Lighthearted, other times trying to be Dark as Dark can get... yikes! dont get me wrong, i really liked the positive message that it was trying to give, but it's execution was not the best that it could have been...

Gameplay: ok... here's where AGAIN i have mixed feelings about this game, it's standard Turn Based RPG action, with some puzzles included, all well and good, never really got stuck at any point in the game, so there is the positive...

now for the bad news... Spells (Especially Healing...) were severely handicapped in the earlier half of the game, it's only til you hit like lv 18-20 before you actually get decent working Magic... even worse of a problem is the Items in the game are both too expensive and not effective enough to do diddly with! save for the Pocket Shelters (FF7 Tent Anyone?) almost ALL the other items were only fine when necessary or when you found them for free...

Controls: hoo boy, this was rough, in battle i'd often have misclicks because of certain skills being automatic (i'm looking at you "Relax"!) the battle system for some reason seemed slippery, like my fingers were coated in jelly...

Music: THIS part is very hard to judge!! especially since i couldnt even get the music to play in the game! i installed the game just as i was supposed to, and i got zero music, yet i heard that other ppl had their music working, so it might be my Laptop... but then again i've played other RPG Maker games and not had this problem, so i'm going to have to place the blame on the creator this time... sorry.

Characters: usually i would tie this in with Story, but the characters were all over the place and Story was already a column to read by itself, so i have to voice my grievances here... let's start with SKYE our lead Protagonist, i was gritting my teeth at how often i was hearing "oh my!" from him, i mean really now? c'mon there's so much else that could've been said! but half the time there was either "oh my!" or *gasps*, his vocabulary was soooo underwhelming that it made me wanna shut the game down and uninstall... but i pressed on... anyways other than that, my grievance was that the characters went through development in the Story WAY too quickly, it felt forced and i couldnt get to really feel ANYTHING from them!

usually i try my best to keep an open mind and to take it easy with who's games i am reviewing... because i wouldnt want any harsh words thrown my way when i release a game... but this time is one of those times that i cant do it... this game is poorly written, rushed, and overall way too small to be a good RPG... it needs a serious Mega Overhaul...

with that in mind Gamers, as of 1/26/2017, i CANNOT recommend that you play this game... and i'm sorry, but i will never play it again myself either..

Man, that shampoo hair flip, though.
Hi TheGamingPaladin! Thanks so much for your honest feedback! I do admit it was a bit rushed as my very first time in RPG making haha! I forgot to put focus on consistence and quality that time. x( But all of your input are highly appreciated and will help me for future references on games that I make after this! :D

admittedly being 6 months late with my reply (internet problems, personal life and other factors distracting me) i will go about adding the .5 that i intended to add after realizing it was my bad that the music wasnt coming through.

either way, thank you for taking my blunt opinions with a dose of salt, because there was no offense intended, i just am blunt with what i'm trying to say, like a warhammer. lol
It is fine, TheGamingPaladin! xD It's good that people get to review my games in the most blunt and straightforward way so that I can see where I'll need to improve in my RPG-making capabilities. :D So thank you so much again for your honest feed back! They're a really helpful reference for my second BlueSkies title on what to do and what not to do with the game! Hopefully, some improvements shall be felt. (I really hope so.. >.< ) I've finished the second game now, by the way. Just thought to let you know if you wish to check it out, too. :)
