Over two hundred years ago, the five heroes defeated the god of darkness; Ragnarok, in a climactic struggle for the fate of the world. Banished back to the realm of darkness known as the Abyss, the threat of the evil god had finally been put to rest once and for all...or so they thought.

Umbral Soul follows the story of Ragnarok’s loyal servant, Pandora, who joins her master in a quest to conquer the world and reclaim his lost power. In order to shroud the world in eternal darkness, they will have to find and recruit new allies, build an army of powerful monsters, and raise a force strong enough to crush anyone who dares to oppose them. Heroes, generals and rival overlords all stand against them. Do you have the power to make the world yours?

Pandora
A powerful dark sorceress with the ability to call forth monsters from the Abyss and enslave them to her will. Her burning hatred for the world and its people leads her to follow Ragnarok with unwavering loyalty.

Ragnarok
The god of darkness, who seeks dominion over the human realm. Once an extremely powerful being in the form of a monstrous demon, he has now been reduced to a mere soul. He wishes to plunge the entirety of the human realm into darkness, in part out of spite for his counterpart; the goddess of light, Lumielle.

Lanith
Beautiful, deadly, and self absorbed to a tee, Lanith is a succubus with a never ending hunger for the lifeforce of men. Having served under Pandora since she was only a child, she has a knack for getting under her skin, and does so whenever the opportunity arises.

Damien
A deeply twisted and sadistic young man, Damien loves nothing more than manipulating others and watching them squirm. While he has kept his true nature a secret, Ragnarok’s uprising marks the perfect opportunity for him to cut loose and have some fun...by killing as many enemies as possible.

Azrielle
The lord of all demons, who is fiercely loyal to Ragnarok and possesses an extreme, seething hatred for humanity. After failing to aid his master in conquering the world the first time, he has no intention of repeating the same mistakes again.

I'm back, baby!

Hey everybody, hope you've been doing well. I'm pleased to say I was just recently discharged from rehab, so at long last after over a month I'm home. They ran a whole lot of tests on me and I had several surgeries, so I am finally no longer in danger of croaking. That means I'm finally free to double down on game development, when I'm not stuck sitting in some doctor's office that is. Thank you all for your well wishes, they went a long way towards improving my mental health through that strenuous time. Welp, that's enough chatter. I've got some game making to do.

Posts

Actually he was saying "Here here!" like what you'd say when you agree with something.

...

Ok you got me, that's an error. Thanks for letting me know!
Your welcome and if I come across anymore I will let you know.
you can but a option who you can sel the damien wepon after get the book becuse tha make more money how i can easy lv up a character is there a area to get easy exp and whey marcus can ave auto mp
The game was designed so that running through the sidequests and the main story would level you enough so that you'd stand a chance against bosses, and the Colosseum is meant to be used to grind up exp for summons. Marcus isn't supposed to regenerate mp, that's a glitch that will be fixed for the upcoming upgraded version of the game.

Having a dark mage as a parent doesn't guarantee someone will become a dark mage, but it does increase their chances. As one of the readable books will tell you, the kind of magic they get depends on the shape of their soul, so the powers they gain may be similar to their parents or completely different.
Making a game about Jeremy's party is unnecessary anyway. In fact it's better as a history considering the game takes place over 200 years later long after they're all dead.

Seeing as how if you played the game you know who wins. It's more of an introduction anyway.

Yeah, the high points of Jeremy's adventure are already displayed in the introduction and various scenario's, so the best bits of whatever game I could make from it have already been shown. I thought it would be fun to unlock the original heroes tale bit by bit as the player explores the game. More details of Jeremy's adventure will be revealed in the sequel as well.
I was at the Dark Altar and I got a scene and there might have been mistake in the scene but I forgot to write it down if there was. Also, was I able to go inside the Dark Altar if I wanted to instead of going directly to the top? I forgot to try that.
Edit: After getting the mark on her hand Pandora says unpleasent. It should be unpleasant.
Edit #2: The teacher that talks about the Wonder Potion I found before even entering the school is missing the word it in between find and will.
Edit #3: When Marcus talks he says wonton slaughter. It should be wanton. A wonton is a type of dumpling.
Edit #4: A student says Marcus would have been expelled long ago if he wasn't miss Schwartzfield's son. When the word Schwartzfield was previously mentioned it was spelled Schwarzfield. Which one is the spelling you intended for this game?
Edit #5: After getting Marcus to open up the door to Rallen's tower I am unable to use the Abyss Portal spell in the skill menu in the Overworld Map. The only time I am able to get the spell working is when I go all the way to Arcfall village to the room where I can use my summon skill. When I get there it lets me use the Abyss Portal spell but when I go back and enter Rallen's Tower from the Overworld Map I become unable to use the spell again.
Thanks g0lbez. If you try to enter the Dark Altar, Ragnarok will stop you, so the magic circle is the only way to the top.

I'll have you know that wonton slaughter is the most delicious kind of slaughter there is. That teacher won't actually know you already found his potion, but his dialogue was indeed missing a word. The correct spelling is Schwartzfield, so thanks for bringing that to my attention. Hope you're having fun.
I am having fun with this game. Also, I figured the teacher wouldn't know I already found it when he told his students to find it.
Edit: I just entered the door to Rallen's tower and I am able to use my Abyss Portal spell which is weird, as I have stated that there is a problem with it in my previous post.
Edit #2: In that scene you get going up the stairs after beating the mage who put up the earth seal you spell consequences wrong. Also, in that scene Maldrin says Schwartzfield but the name that comes up when Lorellei talks is Lorellei Schwarzfield.
Edit #3: When Marcus finds his mother in Rallen's tower the correct spelling he should use is preconceived. Here is something I learned in school that I copied and pasted from wikipedia because I could only remember the rhyme up to the c part. i before e, Except after c, Or when sounded as "a," As in neighbour and weigh.
Edit #4: In that same scene the correct spelling is consensus.
Edit #5: After beating Maldrin, it should be such as yours not such of yours.
Edit #6: In the scene after beating Maldrin the correct spelling is tendency.
Edit #7: In The Soul Of A Dark Mage prologue it should be that in between power and stems not than.
Edit #8: I have just noticed that their is spelled correctly in the aforementioned prologue. Also I just looked it up to be sure and the plural for heart is hearts not heart's.
Edit #9: In the closing remarks of The Soul Of A Dark Mage the an before entirely is unnecessary.
Edit #10: I just ran into the Dark Imp while looking for Marcus and I was wondering, when was the earliest I could have found the imp. Also, what I don't get is what em' is referring to in the scene where you talk to the Dark Imp.
Edit #11: The correct spelling in the scene after you find Marcus is whereabouts.
Edit #12: The correct spelling is enhanceable when you get to the part of the game that tells you how you can evolve your monsters. Now I can finally enhance my slime and beat that side quest.
Edit #13: In the scene after you give Marcus the dark amulet the correct spelling is brimming.
Edit #14: In An Insatiable Hunger part 1 after Rozalin drinks Marcus' blood she asks Why is is it so good? She should only say is once.
Edit #15: Same scenario as #14. Azrielle says if they were they to ignore my summons. That second they is unnecessary.
Damn golbez, you going deep with the notes. If you want to play my game, let me know. I´m always looking for good testers.

BACK OFF! I SAW HIM FIRST! *ahem* I mean...yeah, you should definitely play lianderson's game, it's very good. Thank you again for your highly detailed notes.

As a side note, I never could really get into schoolhouse rock. It was that talking bill that was responsible, it just seemed shady to me.

Boy: Woof! You sure gotta climb a lot of steps to get to this Capitol Building here in Washington. But I wonder who that sad little scrap of paper is?

I'm just a bill.
Yes, I'm only a bill.
And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill.
Well, it's a long, long journey
To the capital city.
It's a long, long wait
While I'm sitting in committee,
But I know I'll be a law someday
At least I hope and pray that I will,
But today I am still just a bill.

Boy: Gee, Bill, you certainly have a lot of patience and courage.

Bill: Well I got this far. When I started, I wasn't even a bill, I was just an idea. Some folks back home decided they wanted a law passed, so they called their local Congressman and he said, "You're right, there oughta be a law." Then he sat down and wrote me out and introduced me to Congress. And I became a bill, and I'll remain a bill until they decide to make me a law.

I'm just a bill
Yes I'm only a bill,
And I got as far as Capitol Hill.
Well, now I'm stuck in committee
And I'll sit here and wait
While a few key Congressmen discuss and debate
Whether they should let me be a law.
How I hope and pray that they will,
But today I am still just a bill.

Boy: Listen to those congressmen arguing! Is all that discussion and debate about you?

Bill: Yeah, I'm one of the lucky ones. Most bills never even get this far. I hope they decide to report on me favourably, otherwise I may die.

Boy: Die?

Bill: Yeah, die in committee. Oooh, but it looks like I'm gonna live! Now I go to the House of Representatives, and they vote on me.

Boy: If they vote yes, what happens?

Bill: Then I go to the Senate and the whole thing starts all over again.

Boy: Oh no!

Bill: Oh yes!

I'm just a bill
Yes, I'm only a bill
And if they vote for me on Capitol Hill
Well, then I'm off to the White House
Where I'll wait in a line
With a lot of other bills
For the president to sign
And if he signs me, then I'll be a law.
How I hope and pray that he will,
But today I am still just a bill.

Boy: You mean even if the whole Congress says you should be a law, the president can still say no?

Bill: Yes, that's called a veto. If the President vetoes me, I have to go back to Congress and they vote on me again, and by that time you're so old...

Boy: By that time it's very unlikely that you'll become a law. It's not easy to become a law, is it?

Bill: No!

But how I hope and I pray that I will,
But today I am still just a bill.

Congressman: He signed you, Bill! Now you're a law!

Bill: Oh yes!!!

My favorite is the conjunction junction.
In the scene after you beat the Kyubirin the correct spelling is mineable.
Edit #2: In the Arcfall tournament building amateur is spelling wrong including when the announcer says amateur as ametuer.
Edit #3: Did you intend for the name of the contestant in the amateur division's name to be spelled as Gefforey. I just looked it up and there are many different spellings for that name.
guollaume- Consider yourself on the list then. At this rate, I'm going to have more testers than people who actually play the game for the first time!

golbez- Yeah, it's supposed to be Gefforey. I'll double check and make sure I spelled in consistently. And wow, you're moving through the game pretty fast, I'm impressed. And everyone loves conjunction junction, even me.
I just started the side quest The Mysterious Mira with the Snuffing the Light quest listed as completed and the abandoned shack needs to be moved so it doesn't get destroyed when Lindale falls. I am now stuck because I always complete as many side quests as possible before I complete the main story. This side quest breaking bug needs to be fixed immediately if possible, because to start this quest you need Marcus in your party and the only way to get him is to complete the Snuffing the Light quest, which if you do then The Mysterious Mira becomes broken because the abandoned shack happens to be right next to Lindale. Please fix.
Edit #2: In the side quest To Be a Master in the quest menu the word Arcfall next to the map icon is misspelled as Acfall.
