I might try your game.

But please decrease your font size to normal or small - it jumps in your face.

Is there the possibility to enable the hunger/thirst system? I'm not a fan of this.

Thanks for saying something firefly84. I think it would be possible to turn it on and off. I will see what I can do. I actually have no scripting knowledge but looking at an example will help me figure it out. :)
Your site is much better now.

The possibility to choose the option for hunger/thirst system or others would really be great. My experience with those games is not good.
I want to explore the world and not buy tons of food or water just to survive.
But a thirt-system makes sense in deserts and hot places and a temperature-system in ice caves.
The latter would need warm clothes, hot tea/coffee, soup and fireplaces to warm up.

I guess you are right in those cases. This is the first time that I am making an rpg game. I really want it to be a good game that others will enjoy playing. So your opinions really help. Not everyone likes a certain system. So I will make a switch in the config menu. I can also do it for the Battle System to switch to TBS or to default. The hunger/thirst will be replaced with the original hp/sp if they turn it off.

A few questions to consider in regards to the hunger/thirst system: What advantages does the mechanic bring to the game? What are it's drawbacks? How much of the game centers around it? How often do you suppose players will need to fill/replenish their hunger/thrust bars? How often do players actually fill/replenish them?

Well I guess the only advantages is that it will be more realistic and that on certain caves/floors they could either be faster hungry/thirsty or slowly. For example like Dark Cloud for ps2. I don't know about drawbacks but after a certain level the player will become "dehydrated or straved" and need to eat and drink to get rid of the statuses. If not it will eat at the health. If you are wondering if you spend more time eating/drinking than exploring, you don't have to worry. It is based on steps and real life time but i find it slow. Also the player will find items to increase the hunger/thirst permantly so it will be even slower. I will also set up cafes in a few cites so the player can eat.

the screenshots that you see here it alittle bit old I have updated some of the huds and menus but they are completely finished. If you have any only questions don't be afarid to ask.
I'd love to try your game, but I'm new here, and I'm not sure how to get it. the downloads page seems to be empty.

It isnt ready yet! But within a few weeks I will realese it. It is almost done. :)

Thank you for your interest~
Your beta isn't playable for now because of a drowning bug.
Send a bug report with screenshot as a PM.

Edit:
You can avoid to drown when talking to the merchants from behind. But then you are stuck again because you can't move anymore.
Or jamming space/enter without reading to end the event before drowning.

Edit2:
The battles are not doable, the enemies do 2-3 times more damage then a skill attack, poison does similar damage and some enemies are so fast they kill you before you can even do something.

I fixed the bugs and made the wepons and skills more stronger. Hope it helps. When you go to skills do you hve skill points when you level? If so you can level up the skills. If not I would have to fix it.

Unfortunatly I don't get skill points for level up. I only had 2 at the beginning.
I'm still in front of the hometown to grind a bit because the enemies are so strong.
But one of them happen to be a bat and this demon girl from the item shop. They kill me before I even can choose an attack.

Uhhh... Are you really that far in the story? Did you buy any skills? The bat and the girl you have to survive 5 turns and then a third person joins.

I will fix the skills and raise up the exp for monsters. I was really worried that it would be too easy but I guess I made them too hard. Do they hit hard?

Far in the story, no. The bat and the girl are one of the 3 visible enemies on the first map south of the hometown.
The snakes get a bit easier after learning poisonous punishment (damage > 150) and sonic blast (damage app. 200).
The snakes made around 140 ore more damage with poison attack and over 100 with normal attacks.
The normal skills made around 70 with 2 more skill points.
Please rebuild the options for Valerie (attack, AOE (buyed skills), summon, tiger-form, skills...).
Now looking for the first secret room...

Ohhh. The bat and girl weren't suppose to be there. I forgot to remove that because I was testng something. I fixed the skill points. I will see what I can do for the commands. I should release a patch soon. The first secret room is in Freyville. You can't tell it is there because I forgot to change it to a cave entrance. If you click around the walls near the waterfall.
Wait until you get the bug report for the rest of the demo. Just got a gamebreaker.

I really appreicate you doing this. I can't think of everything. I did find a bug on the bridge in Fox Forest. You could cover up the holes eventhough you had no wood. I fixed the options for Valerie. "Skill" is below attack.
Of course you can't find all alone.
It could be that I only had two woods for the bridge hehe.

I have to quit now because I can't find Rhyo again after the burial.
The bug report comes via PM.
And I stopped looking for passabillity errors!

I couldn't help but laugh at those errors... Some of those errors I don't get for example with Valerie at the Inn.

After the burial he is in the library upstairs.

It seems you are almost done with the OpenBeta Demo.
Now I'm done.
The last bugs/gliches:
  • Suddenly the title screen is seen in the cave entrances.
  • The monsters in Krumba Cave are totally overpowered. They make 700-1000 damage with normal attacks! I only survived with luck and icy arrows. Iceball is useless against them even they are weak against ice.
And then 2x 4 Beetles in the 2 chests and the reward is only 1 wood.
  • Fire&Ice Dance is greyed out. (Sophia level 13)
