You wake, startled by a nightmare that you have been having the past couple weeks. You allow time for your heart to settle before getting out of bed. Today is the day and you will not let anything stop you from becoming the Pokemon Master... except one thing.

This is my take on a Pokemon suspense game.

I highly recommend you play it with headphones and no lights.

Keep in mind this is my first game that I have created. I have been over it quite a bit and have made sure that there is no errors/glitches and if there were unfix-able ones I have been sure to mention them at the beginning of the game.

UPDATE: This game is only a short one. It can easily be completed in one hour. I wanted to get a feel for the software and the design.

The mapping could probably use some work. The maps look a little empty and the tiles are kinda broken. Otherwise, I'm interested to see how this is gonna play out.

Woah.... this looks like it could be really cool, good luck Kasey!
Why I can't download this game?
Is the pokemon party menu bug / crash fixable ?
I just began the game, it looks so nice !! But please, could you find a fix for the pokemon party menu ? :( thanks
Looks interesting, I think I'll give a try sometime soon.
Heyas~

So I played, not bad. It felt...very strange to say the least. That music at the end was way way dramatic! In a comic way though. I'm not sure what those death guys were, but they weren't exactly scary...I thought the little touches like "It's not polite to through other people's things" were amusing though. The 'fear' element is lacking slightly .-. And I noticed that in certain areas, if you go in front of something and leave it, if you return, it'll replay the message, or effect that was supposed to trigger. Maybe that's on purpose? It's weird though. Sorry if this seems overly critical, just wanted to point some stuff out.
Pokemon-Themed Environment combined with elements of horror. I like the way you think. Secondly the mapping was good. Maps were designed solide. I would like to point out the music you chose and the idea itself of nightmare.
Things you can improve:
Some text boxes and events repeat in some areas and that does not suit to the situation. You should take care about that. Additionaly you could do more events which have impacts on the ending or further events. Like a puzzle game for instance with Pokemon items.
The experience of horror could be improved by being more sneakier and more unpredictable. You are on the best way to do that.

All in all I really enjoyed your pokemon game. I liked it and I would be appreciated when you create more Horror Pokemon Games like that. :D Good job
I played it and seemed really good, i didn't read the unfixable scritpting error (well i did but didn't listen to it) so it crashed a few times. I also seemed to have problems with saving the game and starting it back up. But aside from all that i like the way you did it and music and story aswell. i didn't fully complete it yet but i will shortly.

I made a video of it if someone want to see it played out, but i recommend to play it aswell :) :
honestly, i feel like i've just experienced a creepypasta. just going down through the new games, seeing what's there, and then i notice a game based off of a series i've loved my entire life called "living the nightmare"... i could sell this, y'know?
maybe it's just because i'm an extremely huge fan of pokemon, but this game actually kinda scared me. the feeling that something isn't right was there since the level 50 yamask was on the desk (the party glitch really sucks. i feel like the level adds to the creepiness here, since it's so disproportionate to the level 2-5s around, and you probably could've played with it a bit, even, like by sticking ghosts or unowns in there), and there were other small things that spooked me a little as well, like Red's dad being there, the layout and name of the town, and the crossovers between generations. the graphics look very gen 3, but then there's gen 4 and 5 pokemon here and there, the loading screen is from black and white... etc.
that thing with einstein, i think it was? was really odd and creepy too.

i also have a few gripes, like the scene where
the hooded guy chased the player with what i assume was a chainsaw, due to the noises?was really lame. if he was actually going to go out and kill me, why didn't he do it when he spawned on top of me? i think if you had added running, since red's regular walk is p slow, and made him chase the player, it'd been a lot better.
using space/enter to interact was also pretty weird because i'm so used to using z and x, but that's minor. overall, the game was pretty good and creepy, especially for a first game!!
