A worthy sequel!

A few weeks back, I reviewed the original Feral Dreams game here, saying that it was a giant trip down the memory lane for me. When I was a child, I adored kelarly and his games and wanted to be just like him. After replaying the first ons, it is time to do so with the second one.

When it comes to the art style, Feral Dreams II possesses a very similar style to the one of the first game, it is an RPG maker game and you know that when playing, but it is pretty nonetheless. One thing worth mentioning is that the mapping really became better this time around and even though it can still use some work, it is more detailed than that of the first game.

The music, just like in the first game, may not be anything to write home about, but it gets the job done very well. When it needs to put you in the mood for battle, it does so, when it needs to be calm, it is. Overall, it is a beautiful soundtrack.

The story of the second game is written with the same amount of quality as the first one, though, I've gotta say, I've always loved the intro to the second game, it really sets it all up in a great way. The characters are, once again, likeable and though there isn't much to this story, it's enough to get you invested for 10+ more hours.

When it comes to gameplay, once again you know what to expect from the combat, exploration and everything, these games barely changed gameplay-wise.

I always found it sad how kelarly never got to making Feral Dreams III, I would've loved to play that. If this is the last of Feral Dreams that we ever see, then it is a great end, but we all want more.

I also didn't mention that this game becomes quite difficult by the end, so be prepared.

Thank you, kelarly, for this great series! I rate Feral Dreams II just a tiny bit worse than the original.
