Why, yes you can! You play as Katherine, a young woman who inherits her grandmother's house. The goal of this game is to clean and renovate the house.

Here is the tutorial blog for this game: http://gamepegasisterstutorials.blogspot.com/

Updated the game and now it's back. The file was too big the first time, so I had to take out the unnecessary resources for them. Hopefully it'll work now.

Apologies for the inconveniences this has caused everyone. I hope you enjoy the game and let me know in the posts what you think of the game.

Hello. Turns out there were some unexpected problems with the game. A fan of mine pointed out:

1. That the smoking room in the clean version of the house led the player back into the broken mansion.

2. After the house is cleaned, the door to the garden brought the player back into the North Hallway, instead of the garden.

As for walking off the wood, that isn't a bug. That was deliberate tile setting on my end as I set the bottom entrance tile to passable.

I fixed the two bugs.

Thank you all for your support.

I want to play this! When will there be a download?? :)

Now that I'm up and fully functioning, I'm proceeding to upload the compressed files.
There are a lot of files missing!!! Here they are...

1A] I get these errors immediately when i start a new game..

B]

C]

D] The door is missing here but I can still enter the house normally..

2] I get this error when i enter the shed to take the scythe..

3] And this error keeps popping up every time i cut the grass..

4] It gets stuck whenever I go into a door going upwards and try to exit it in the the west and east wings. It freezes and I cannot move but the ESC/Menu was working..

The game is working even with the error messages but I stopped playing it for the meantime... :) I hope you can fix these soon..
(Sorry for the long post)
EDIT- Never mind. I completed the game.. It was extremely short! I was expecting that the player would be able to actually to go to every room individually and clean/fix it up but instead..
...I just make 2 magic phone calls and the entire house is fixed!!

I just wanted more actions to do like cutting the grass since there were so many rooms.. :)
But thanks for the game! It was a good effort! I hope in the future you can make something more detailed & interactive and with a longer play time!! :)

Actually, you need the scythe. I posted a tutorial blog on Blogger as GamePegasister91. The scythe's in the shed. Equip that, then press the action key on the grass.

Oh shit! I'm so sorry. I'll get to fixing that.
Hmm game is rather tutorial about how to make a place beautiful in rpgmaker and it sure is fun for eyes to see restored rooms. For gaming though it is rather demo like rather. Still a good foundation for another game I guess.

It's a brief game, that's why it feels like a demo. It was me trying to get some practise into my game development so I actually can do well enough to do commercial games.
Heya, this was cool! Here are some bugs I found while playing and some suggestions for the game:

Examining grass without scythe: the word grass is cut off.
First version of house: east wing, second door on the bottom. When you exit, you end up in West Wing.
After taking the scythe: The shed door remains open until you touch it. Fixes itself after you leave and come back.
Having the player interact with the car to go to work might make sense.
If you're looking to expand the game further, having the player go to a different map and accomplish something to earn money might be a neat feature.
After choosing the 100G option: North wing, all room doors are set to Action Button to exit instead of touching the event, when trying to go back to the wing.
Choosing the 100G option before acquiring the scythe results in being unable to acquire the scythe. It also affects the garden map.
West wing, first door on the bottom: Guest Room, the dresser is kind of in the wall.
West wing, second door on the bottom, Study, the bookcase is in the wall.
After 175G option: East wing, first door on top, Cold Storage: Some furniture is in the wall, but it looks more appropriate here. It loses the door into the kitchen. Kitchen also no longer has a door to the dining room.
After 175G option, garden: Yellow flowers behind the big tree are above the player.
Never grabbing the scythe results in all the grass being cut anyway! To fix this, you could disallow the player from using the phone until the scythe is obtained and/or the grass is all cut.

This was fun to play, and I tested all the doors I could in every version of the house. I'd like to see what you can do in a bigger project, whether that's expanding this one or making something new!

Thank you. This is my first game I made, and I'll do my best to make my second game better. I appreciate the constructive criticism.

By the way, nice MLP Profile pic.

You're welcome! Keep it up!

Yay, thanks!
Hey!
I really liked the premise, cleaning games are always so satisfactory.

Here are my thoughts:
Again, I love the idea! It feels nice to see place getting cleaner and less chaotic as you perform your actions.
Cutting grass became a bit boring after a while, though, as I basically had to walk around pressing the same button again and again. Maybe there is a way to make it less repetative, like putting ability to cut grass by walking while holding some button? There should be some scripts out there.
I would also prefer the game to notify me when I cut all of the grass - I wasn't sure if I copleted the task as there was no reaction from the game and so wandered around the house for some time just to check if there are any places I forgot to clean.
And as mentioned earlier, I expected I will have to clean the house all by myself, but instead I just had to go for a work several times and make two calls. This, again, is quite repetitive. You can either allow player to repair and clean house on their own, but use phone and work system for some other purposes (order mterials or equipment, for example, get some people to put furniture, etc), or you can create some gameplay for work (e.g. player has to do some actions and the better is their performance the more they earn), but that might turn it into working game rather than cleaning game.

In conclusion, once again, I liked the idea a lot! Not part of the feedback, but it can actually be a nice base for a story... Like, you know, the girl's grandmother mysteriously disappears, so she moves to her house, but as she cleans up and repairs it, the girl finds some clues as to why grandmother has disappeared and more about her life... But those are just some ideas I got about your game. Anyways, good luck with your further projects!

Thank you for your constructive criticism. As for the mansion, the term "inheritance" should imply that the girl's grandmother passed away, but I appreciate the criticism. I guess I should have thought about it. ^_^
I don't know if i'm doing something wrong or if it's really a bug, but I can't use the scythe. I got the thing, interact with the grass but nothing happens :( I've restart the game and try again two or three times but still can use it.

ps; I suppose I have to cut the grass to make some progress so I don't know what say 'bout the game yet haha sry

thanks for help, but I did that and still does not work. I can't equip the scythe, no idea why D;
Hi! I just started playing your game and I think it is very cute :3. The only problem is that I can't equip the scythe.
This game has a few technical issue that need to fixed like the right corner of the bed needs to have the "X" setting turned on phase into the bed. Also the tree is set to the ladder setting, you could easily turn that off. Also, the maps seem tot big with not enough stuff to fill it up with. After the renovation option their is nothing left to do. As for earning money, you could make that part a little more engaging, you could make your character go to work and perform tasks so it could so you have some form of gameplay because their isn't much gameplay here. Also for the grass you could just have areas of uncut grass so that way cutting the grass isn't as tedious. As for the renovation option, you should do it by room so could gradually pretty up the house. This game has a promising premise, but the execution could use a little more refinement.
