Outside a small Texas town, a magic arms manufacturer runs an R&D facility. Morgan Lagrange, a sorceress employed by a private military corporation, has come here for a job: to escort a researcher and a daemonic prototype out of the country. But when the operation goes south, Morgan finds herself a pawn in a deadly financial game between her client and her employer. Trapped by her own magically binding contract, she must find a loophole in the terms or be crushed by the corporate machine.
