At least Irma's not a robot

Been in a TMNT mood for a while and took a quick peek for some fan RPGs and found this. I'm only a casual fan of the series so I'm not as well versed on TMNT lore and any info I do know comes wiki's and video reviews. Now that we all know were I stand, we can begin

Story
Some time after the defeat of the Shredder, the crime rate has noticeably gone up so the turtles go investigate. They then go on an adventure, meeting new friends and old enemies(I think)to save the world from the evil Kraang.

Pretty straightforward plot, pretty short too. The turtles seem fine. Nothing much to say there. There is a pretty good section halfway that gives the turtles a little arc before the second act finale, similar to the part in Final Fantasy 6 before the battle for Narshe. Gameplay however is a different story. Also there's a small, optional area just before the big city and that imagery is the exact tone I would use if I ever did a story in Dimension x

While there isn't any major story issues, I did thought characterization was a bit lacking, mainly for the villains. I felt, beside's Karai and maybe Stockman. I couldn't tell the Triceton bosses apart and most of the bosses were like "hello. And now I'm dead." Even Krang felt like that beside's the build up towards him.

Gameplay
Standard RPG gameplay, turtles all have their own moves. With Leo being a buffer/debuffer, Raph the powerhouse, Donnie the healer and Micky has very useful status effects. I didn't mind the level up system at all with getting points to buy more skills. All that's good. Nothing to say. The bad, however, is a lot more noticeable.

Lets get the big one out of the way, escaping is broken. If one party member is unable to move or dead, or any situation that you would want to flee from and unless EVERYONE has a filled ATB, you can't even attempt an escape. This is pretty bad.

There are also a few bugs like being able to skip the boss in Leo's section or if you leave Krang's sewer from the way you came in, the game won't yet you go back in due to Micky's text being triggered. And speaking if those sewer, while I didn't mind the layout, I hated fighting those sentry since they always appeared in packs and they were way more deadly than anything before and after with they're powerful magic and AOE attacks. The boss was way easier than those robots.

And I have a bit of a nitpick that the game doesn't have any real dungeons until half way through the game and even then there's like two more after that(Haven't done the extra stuff yet). For the most part is usually just a room and then a boss. But like I said I'm nitpicking.

Presentation
Not much to say except I think the sprites look nice.

Verdict
A nice little fan game. It needs a lot of polish in a few area's but it's fine.

Thanks for taking the time to play the game, and even more time to write out a review. I always appreciate feedback whether it is positive or constructive. I think you make some great points here (the escaping is a problem, I agree).

But even with the flaws I still hope you enjoyed it!
Cool idea. Game looks really good. I liked the Terror Bears reference. That's some serious turtle's trivia there. Just a tad boring honestly. Not bad overall though.
