   Rain Garshon, the naive young prince of Glacia, awakens to find his wife strangely absent from their bed. Unbeknownst to him, this marks the beginning of nation-shaking treachery that will turn his once blessed life to utter ruin in a single night.

   This perpetrator of this betrayal, none other than his very own wife Lailah Garshon, has made it impossible for Rain to return to his kingdom. Now, Rain must travel the world of Elesca searching for proof of his lineage.

   However, what he finds is something sinister waiting in his family tree. Before Rain can take back Glacia’s throne, he must first discover if it was ever his to begin with.

UPDATE: Version 2.2 has been released!
This update changes quite a few things! We have fixed some minor bugs, as well as clarified parts of the story in order to properly convey the ideas behind it. We have added some new sound effects in order to better complement our game's unique style. Enemies and stats have been rebalanced, and should provide a more consistent difficulty level while playing through the game. Caves and forests have been given new lighting effects that just give a little bit more visual flair to the maps, as well as their respective battle backs. We have also modified the overdrive images a little bit to make them a bit more unique. The Firian King has been given an entire face set and sprite to match, so he no longer shows only one emotion. The title screen has also been modified a bit, incorporating the new text style with its fonts. Finally, we have added a swanky new save system which lets you know exactly where you left off with more detailed information about your save and a cool little screenshot of the area.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST NAVIGATE TO WHERE THE GAME HAS BEEN EXTRACTED AND CREATE A NEW FOLDER CALLED 'Save' IN THAT DIRECTORY. OTHERWISE, THE GAME WILL ERROR OUT AND CRASH WHEN YOU FIRST ATTEMPT TO SAVE THE GAME. THIS WILL BE FIXED IN THE NEXT UPDATE, SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE YOU HAVE BEEN CAUSED!!

Glacia 2019-2020 Edition


Hello, Glacians work for 2019 is beginning again on Glacia. Myself and DrawnActor aka (DarkBox) are putting the final and finishing touches on a special release we are going to be renaming Glacia 2019 or 2020 depending on release date. We are going to stream some of the development on DrawnActor's stream if anyone wants to stop by to say hello. Great changes and wonderful things are on the way!

After playing this game for an hour into the game, I've found that it is a beautiful, but one dimensional grind.

The visuals are great especially for RPG VX. The lighting effects are good. Lightning brightens the screen. Areas are small and charming. The overworld map looks simple and good.

Everything works well, Alchemy feels useful. Its fun to customize your skills, but early in the game (if not the whole game), there are limited skills and equipment is well throught out.

The combat is extremely easy. Spam the attack button... because you don't have any skills. Most enemies don't. Speaking of enemies, there are a very limited amount. An hour into the game and I've only seen 5. Its a grind.

One real downside is an area stuck in a forest with no inn and your healing items will dwindle if you fight anyone. Sure you can EASILY walk by enemies to avoid battles, but with the boss battle at the end, he will twin strike you if you get his energy low enough. So then it makes me think you're supposed to escape, but its disabled. Lovely. So you spam your attack until you're dead and the boss spams his attack until he uses twin attack. I'd think returning to the start point of that section would recover your health... or at least give you a small potion if you don't have any, but no.

The miss ratio seems unfairly against you. I can miss an enemy 3x in a row. Sure maybe its the weapon, but every weapons to miss every 1 in 6 attacks. That's unfairly high when your ways to regain energy is limited.

With this CSS, you can't see the comments text.
Maybe that's what the user wants.

As far as the CS. It used to work. They changed something.
You can see my thoughts a few posts back. That was when I was stuck in the forest and needed to grind through surviving on potions for a while. I persevered though.
So how do I get past the place with the bridge and 3 switches. i think it might be broken. Thanks in advance.

I assure you its broken when I've spent 30 minutes in gametime. Its either you tell me or I literally don't play :-) Sorry to make that demand but...
Why are the fonts white? I can't see them writings, need to highlight
Rmn changed the ccs a long time ago. I don't understand how to fix the comment's issue. If anyone does understand ccs please pm me so that I can change it.

This is something which has been mentioned before, but is still, IMO, a big issue. It's the miss rate. Someone spoke about how frustrating it is to get 3 misses in a row - well on a couple of occasions I've had 4. But far worse is when I've got a team of 3 (as I have at the moment)and they all miss for 2 consecutive rounds and then someone still misses in the third round. In the meantime they're being hammered by the enemy.

This is not challenging or interesting gameplay, it simply becomes tedious, and I am on the verge of jacking it in (something I rarely do once I've invested a few hours in a game) because the thought of trying to grind my way up through a couple of levels with battles like this is just too much to contemplate. Shame, because there are a number of good points about the game.

Will you be doing anything to adjust this in the future?

Great to hear, I've started the DL now - and just my luck, my connection has decided to crawl. It tells me that it'll take 45 minutes! Still, if you've indeed sorted those issues, then it'll be worth waiting around.

Not only that, but I've actually re-written essentially every word in the whole game (from dialogue to item descriptions). There should be less missing, and no evading. it will unfortunately happen from time to time, but that's because our miss formula is broken somehow... There's literally nothing we can do to change it, what with every single weapon and item already having 100% hit chance (and STILL missing!?)
