UPDATE: Version 2.2 has been released!
This update changes quite a few things! We have fixed some minor bugs, as well as clarified parts of the story in order to properly convey the ideas behind it. We have added some new sound effects in order to better complement our game's unique style. Enemies and stats have been rebalanced, and should provide a more consistent difficulty level while playing through the game. Caves and forests have been given new lighting effects that just give a little bit more visual flair to the maps, as well as their respective battle backs. We have also modified the overdrive images a little bit to make them a bit more unique. The Firian King has been given an entire face set and sprite to match, so he no longer shows only one emotion. The title screen has also been modified a bit, incorporating the new text style with its fonts. Finally, we have added a swanky new save system which lets you know exactly where you left off with more detailed information about your save and a cool little screenshot of the area.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST NAVIGATE TO WHERE THE GAME HAS BEEN EXTRACTED AND CREATE A NEW FOLDER CALLED 'Save' IN THAT DIRECTORY. OTHERWISE, THE GAME WILL ERROR OUT AND CRASH WHEN YOU FIRST ATTEMPT TO SAVE THE GAME. THIS WILL BE FIXED IN THE NEXT UPDATE, SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE YOU HAVE BEEN CAUSED!!

You don't you access it from the menu. Instead press "d" anywhere else. Also if you need more help refer the the Read me file. That's included.
Thanks. Looks like I missed that when I skimmed the readme file.
The 2.2 version seems to have fixed some stats issues. Not that much has changed, so I think I'll concentrate on the story this time.

I stated earlier that the plot is simple, but I still feel like I want to know what's going on and what will happen. Playing trough the game again, I came to the conclusion that this will only work if there are things happening in the game. You spend quite a lot of time walking from one kingdom to another and then you spend a lot of time looking for something. During that time, nothing really changes and you find out very little. Near the end, the plot gets moving again though, which is good since that leaves us more to look forward to.

In future episodes, consider letting the story move a bit faster. As a rule, you either want the situation to change, or the player to find out something significant, or both, after a dungeon. It's not an absolute rule or anything like that, but it helps.

A lot of the characters have personality traits that doesn't come into play. The one who shows the most personality is Blaze, but the personality he shows isn't the one that is in the description.

Becca's description says following: "She despises killing, but will
always do what is necessary."
The only trait I've seen from her is compassion. Compassionate girls are dime a dozen in RPGs and they all obediently slaughter any enemy you command them to attack, so her being compassionate doesn't really showcase that she despises killing. I admit that the traits you describe isn't the easiest to convey.

Spider also has some traits written that doesn't come into play at all. Worse, she shows very little personality period. Like Becca, her trait isn't that easy to convey. In fact, the only way I can even think of is her making a promise and then getting into a situation where the average person would have choosen to break that promise. Setting that up isn't an easy task. Still, if she's supposed to be loyal and take promises serious, she need to somehow show it.

Both Becca and Spider has in common that their personality traits requires a lot of setup to properly show off. It's easy to show of a strong sense of justice, just have something unfair happen. Becca's and Spider's traits however will require some good planning. If you aren't good at writing, you made a hard choice when it comes to those two.
Just finished Chapter One with my whole party at level 18... all I can say is that the game is amazing. I've spent 16 hours on it until now, and I really can't wait for Chapters 2 and over to come out. You did a very good job in the sidequests and maps creation, keep up the work! You've gained a subscriber.

Chapter Two is coming along. The rest of the game is not super close to completion. I read RMN almost everyday! I try not to spam my page with little updates. Better that you forget about the game while there is nothing to play. That way you are excited when more content comes out. All old saves will work!

I will say reading new posts do motivate me to work on it! Any one who would like to do beta testing for me can PM me. I will never have enough of those!
Awesome! I may not say much now since I have already said what I wanted to say, but I'm definitely still looking forward to the game.
Nice graphic and story, I enjoying to play it through, but it would be nice to have 4 members in party instead of three.

Damn, can't remember the name of town where I have to deliver the mail but I've talked to all the people on both sides of the town and can't find anyone to give any mail so I can go back and claim my reward.

Anyone know where the mail recipients are hiding ??? :)
Is it Ember? Maybe an added description can be added to the quest log?
Id like to see a map....for me its easy to get lost.
I will be happy to get that airship....traveling back and forth will be soooooo much faster and easier!
It is Combustion (I think the name of the town was). Well, it's the town that has 2 sides connected by a bridge. What you're supposed to do is put the mail in their mail boxes, not give it to them directly.
Oh, and whenever I try to revive someone with that reviving magic from the ring (forgot the name), the person isn't revived. I don't know, it might just be me.
