Eulogy of an Insect is a uniquely stylized RPG- the entire world and its inhabitants are hand-drawn!
As a lone human named Charlie, you will traverse dungeons with a focus on problem-solving, puzzles, mini-games, and unorthodox situations ranging from giving out painful massages to preparing lunch meals for ghosts. Along the way, you'll learn more about this strange world and it's inhabitants, as well as who is friend or foe.
Although the game features the classic RPG Maker gameplay you know well, the game is anything but familiar. Rather than being a linear path from start to finish, dungeons are organic locations where point A could lead to points B, C, or D. Minigames are front and center, mixing up gameplay often, sometimes unusually. Random encounters are done with thanks to visible enemies roaming the map, and you can hit these enemies to gain the upper hand once battle commences. Statuses, elements, as well as debuffs and buffs matter and can mean the difference between victory or defeat. A repertoire of different characters are at your disposal in fights- granted you're able to find and recruit them. Each of them comes with their own sidequest that will further unlock their potential if you can help them resolve their problems, learning more about their backstories in the process as well as upgrading your repertoire of abilities.
The game is currently in production. We are two best friends who have been working on this passion project together for nearly ten years. We're proud to say the game is a product of hard work, with our own completely original scripts and graphical assets.
