An entry for the Halloween Horror Event

A horror game in the proud B-movie tradition, Night of the Lapinoids stars Roger (Roberts? Robiespeare? Something that begins with R, anyway) as he tries to figure out why his hometown has been overrun by killer rabbits, as well as the mystery of his missing memories. Inspired by movies like Night of the Lepus and games like Amnesia: Machine for Pigs (Note: I have not watched or played either of these two things), Lapinoids is a thrilling adventure-RPG with lots of laughs, and hopefully lots of horror, too, so I can get the event achievement makerscore.

  • Fully original score! Well, okay, no, I got it all from BGM material sites. But hey! None of it is RTP!
  • Walk graphics by White Screw Shop!
  • Battle graphics by wherever I could get them!
  • A fully original story! (If by "original", you mean "largely inspired by Gravity Falls and movies I have not seen".)
  • An attempt to get every Halloween Horror event item into the game somehow!

And so much more!

Night of the Lapinoids Halloween Event Demo is Goooo!!

Phew, that was exhausting. Not sure I made it a full ten-minute demo, since I always seem to clock in at about nine minutes on my playthroughs, but then they say developers are often poor judges of these things.

I was told it would be advisable to make a list of the event items we put in the game, so here we go:
Forgotten Past (Roger's amnesia, natch)

Broken Glasses (Roger is wearing them)
Golden Key(s) (you need one to beat the demo)
Old music box (examine the drawers in the bloody room after getting the golden key)
Demonic possession/eyeless teddy bear (the computer that's been left on in the computer lab mentions both of these things)

And there you go! Let me know if you have any problems playing it.

Ah, I really liked this... was a bit sad once it was over! I made a Let's Play of the demo if that's alright. I really liked it and am looking forward to seeing what happens in the future! Very well done! ^_^

Hardcorg: Wow, thanks so much! (Sorry I took so long to reply, haha.) This project is on the backburner for now, but since so many people seem to like it, I'll see what I can do to speed production up.
