Remie's and Alana's Strawberry-Cake Magical Girl Adventure!
Long ago, a powerful witch named Xalimi made 48 Infernal Artifacts to help her corrupt the world. Xalimi was defeated, but the artifacts remain and, over the years, have gained minds of their own and still harbor the desire to see their master's dark plans fulfilled.
Remie and Alana are magical girl trainees tasked with hunting down one of these artifacts that is hiding in an abandoned mall. As they make their way, they'll discover not only their own magical powers but also their blossoming feelings for each other.
A game made for the 2016 Yuri Jam, by Uni, Oshun and Kloe! Yay! :D
Special thanks to Sooz, for the character designs and indoor mall sketches, MakioKuta for the title screen, Racheal for the title screen scripting, and JosephSeraph for additional animations! ^_^

This looks great y'all :D who ever was the artist(Oshun i'm assuming)really did a great job with those sprites ^^
Yup, Oshun did great on the sprites, Uni and Oshun did all the art! (except the picture of Volleyduck seen in the battle animation which I made, though the actual animation was made by Uni. Also the title screen is by Maki!)

Played the demo. Nothing really bad about it. Sentinals were a bit too Quarter-happy though that may have just been my terrible RNG luck. I also hate the TP thing but I gather that's an RPG Maker thing (I don't play many RPGs in RPG Maker). The music is the strong point. The art is passable. I don't like the magical girl designs but I'm super picky about that so I'll call them passable too. Axolotls for familiars is pretty cool.
I forget, were you supposed to get abilities with the final weapon upgrade? Oh, I love the idea of upgrading existing weapons rather than getting whole new ones.
The characters were alright. I wasn't invested enough in the girls before the confession scene so it lost some impact but they're a cute enough couple so it will probably be ok for the final version.

Thanks! We went for something different with the designs so I can definitely see them not being everyone's cup of tea, as they aren't the traditional magical girl type fare, but I thought they were neat.
My art's never been great, but we figured for a fun little jam it'd be fine. (I did the character bust art/illustrations). Also, yeah, I need to keep working on my writing. I have the hardest time making great characters when I have a limited time-frame, but I'll keep trying.
As for the weapon upgrades, they just increase your stats.
