Hello everyone! ^_^ unity here!

I'm super happy to announce that the demo is here and ready to play! Please give it a shot and let us know what you think! It's about 30 minutes to an hour in length.

Again, a huge thanks to Ocean and Kloe. You have both been just wonderful to work with, and thanks for being so helpful! I am so glad we got to work together! :DDDDD It's been a busy month but I'm so proud of the hard work we did! ^_^

Also big thanks to Sooz, who did an amazing job with the character designs (and with putting up with me working frantically on this all month XD) and Maki, for helping out with the title screen on such short notice, also Racheal who did the scripting for the title screen!

Wow, this came sooner than expected (definitely not going to complain)! I'll give it a shot right away. Them pixels look really lovely. Definitely inspires me to work harder and evolve as an aspiring pixel artist.
Nice! I'll give this a try when I have time.

Sir Redd of Novus: He who made Prayer of the Faithless that one time, and that was pretty dang rad! :D

Awesome! I'll give this a try as soon as I can!
Finished! Wow, I quite like what you've got here. The demo definitely gave me some good and happy vibes.

Music was great and fitting (very catchy too). Reminded me of LA a little.

The characters seem pretty cool so far, mainly due to the writing and plot. I really like how the villain actually isn't all too powerful itself (at least not yet). It seems to be more of a smart planner, rather than an evil knucklehead.

I don't have much of an opinion about the sweet candy duo yet, but they're likable so far. The "power of love" line gave me a decent laugh. xD

The other characters are a likable bunch as well. They definitely have their own charm, which is mostly a result of their design.

Now, the duck...whew! I love Volley Duck! I have to admit that its introduction sure gave me a good jump-scare though! xD Its design is really joyful and its aid during combat is a quack-send.

I don't really care so much about the whole Yuri thing, but I totally don't mind it either. Well, I can put it like this: as a straight male, I'd rather look at a pixel woman's butt during gameplay than a man's (especially if it's going to be longer game taking 30-40+ hours).

Graphics look great as well (everything from tiles to animations etc.). The battle backgrounds do look awfully blurry in comparison to the maps, which is a shame since I really like the graphics. The sidewalk in the first battle background could use some polish IMO (it stands out quite a bit compared to the rest of the BG).

The other art is great as well and helps giving the characters more personality and developlment.

Gameplay feels pretty simple, but enjoyable. The game's main focus seem to be leaning towards dungeon crawling and character development, which is a style I'm pretty fond of. The battles felt pretty balanced so far and the boss fight against the giant whale, in particular, was really fun!

Speaking of battlers, I really like the design of them (big-ass whale is probably my favorite so far).

The setting is interesting too. Modern settings always feel a bit more unique to me since I'm quite used to all of these fantasy worlds.

All in all, this feels like a very promising project so far and I can't wait to play the rest of the game! I really hope that the game will open up a bit more later since I'd love to explore the rest of the monster-infested mall in a more nonlinear manner.

Good job, guys, and happy Halloween!

EDIT: is this review material?

They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

Thanks for the feedback, Luiishu! :DDDD

Unfortunately, the game is planned to be pretty linear, as this is a short jam game.

Just finished the demo, hooo boy that ending :*

To tell the truth I never could find myself enjoying unity's games (just not my kind of game I guess), but this one really hooked me! The characters were really cute. Also this is one of the rare instances I actually enjoyed the battles (and particularly the MAP system), despite normally not being an RPG fan. All in all good job, and I can't wait for the full game!

I'm super glad you enjoyed this one! :DDDD Thanks TungerMan, and we'll work hard on the final version too ^_^
