An alternate take on the classic fairytale of Rapunzel. Short puzzle game with horror elements.

Lavender is a young girl who grew up in a tower deep inside the forest, forbidden from ever leaving. She was raised by a witch who warned her about the dangers of the outside world, instilling her with fear. However, on her 12th birthday, she drops her birthday present out of her bedroom window, leaving her horrified. The witch had left earlier, so perhaps it would be possible to get it back before she returns...

Find your way out of the tower you call your home, solving puzzles that obstruct your path.

Made for the Pixel Horror Jam 2016.

wow how creative ! this was so amusing . Great work
For a short game this was an amazing experience! The puzzles were fun & a bit challenging, but not to hard. The story was nicely paced and I loved the extra room! I hope to see even more amazing games by this artist! And last but not least thank you for making such a great game!!!

Beautiful game! I'm in love with the art and the aesthetic used on it, plus the soundtrack, it's a very calming atmosphere.

The puzzles are challenging. I'm not used with puzzle games so these ones were kinda difficult for me, but it's okay since I kinda like challenges.

I could notice some meaning behind the paintings in each room, am I wrong? It's interesting, they raise some questions since it's a short game and the history's not very inserted.

Finished and liked it a lot! I wish it was longer, though...
Now I'm focused on finding out the password for the extra; can't you give me any clues?

Help underneath:

Find pink hair on each floor.
Place them on the tree bottom floor.
Look at painting in the hidden(horror) section of the game to find a clue for the password, the clue gives an instant giveaway.

this game is so beautiful and awesome, i love it... but i am stuck on the potion making puzzle because i can't figure what couple of ingredients are... u.u i feel dumb xD
Are you playing v1.2? There's a book in the potion brewing room with an ingredients list. (I'm reasonably sure you can keep your save files, but you might want to keep a back-up of earlier versions just in case!)

i am an idiot i am an idiot i am an idiot i was reading the wrong book the whole time u__u

i finally came back to it with a clear mind and found the book right there in plain sight. so i finished the game! it is very nice and puzzles are cool and it is aesthetic and a bit of creepiness (which is good) and all in all good job ^^

p.s.
how many endings are there, i found two ^^
it looks like a really nice game, so excited to download it! :) subscribed!

I start to feel kinda dumb, I can't even solve the first puzzle (flowers). Please help!
If you click them in the wrong order, they wither. I didn't completely figure out how it works, but I can provide hints/directions:

Hint 1:
You have to first figure out which one is quickly satiated, which one is waiting patiently, and which one is tall and brittle.

Hint 2:
The first will bloom in the shortest number of clicks, the second will bloom after more clicks, and the last takes the most number of clicks to bloom.

Hint 3:
You can't click the same flower twice in a row.

Hint 4:
Once a flower blooms, you can't click on it any more.

Hint 5:
The middle flower needs to be clicked the most.

Hint 6:
After the first 3 clicks, alternate between the middle flower and the side flowers.

Hint 7:
The left flower needs to be clicked second most.

Solution:
Left-Right-Middle-Left-Middle-Right-Middle-Left-Middle-Right-Middle-Left

Thanks!!!!!
I like this game. It's concise, with little fat. I like the use of color. My only issue is that I never get to find out what the main character actually saw in the gray room. I have my guesses, but that's it.

And there are a couple of models that are apparently never used, but that sent me on an snipe hunt for a missing ending.

@gothicmiriel:
Oh, you are not probably only one who has been stuck on that potion puzzle. I found it a bit tricky too. After throwing all of the ingredients into the pot in proper order, you have to actually mix together them by grabbing the stick which looks just a decoration. (This is not a spoiler, I think.)

yes, i read the book, but still can't figure out what some of them actually are u.u (i kinda gave up for now and plan to return some time later, hoping i will figure it out xD) it is probably just me not thinking properly and getting my mind on the wrong track (happens often >.<). once again, great game :3
I definitly enjoyed this gem! XD
Somehow, I like how she makes nimble noises on every step she take, that feels very nice atmosphere.

Just don't let me say this is a simply wonderful game. I'm not perfectly satisfied with the both endings. I felt like it lacks some story contents needed to be told. Though, the puzzles were super well designed, but the plot itself had left a great potential to make it more wonderful...
