SYNOPSIS:

Senna Akizuki wakes up to find herself in a dimly lit school. She is determined to find a way out with her friends. While exploring inside the school, she must uncover the school's gruesome past in order to escape.

This game is made by Kurousagi, A.K.A. Black Hare, of Usakakesoft using RPG Maker VX and it was released on June 19th, 2012. The American fan translation group, Memories of Fear, translated this game and released it on November 15th, 2016.

USAGE NOTES:

The author warns that Ghost School isn't for people who dislike horror, walking around wide maps, lack of hints on where to go next, being lead to a bad ending without warning, and investigating.

Ghost School - Small Update

A quick notification to let you guys know that our translation of Ghost School has just been given a small update.

Based on user feedback, we decided to implement a choice at the start of the game asking the player whether they’d prefer to have message sound effects initially set to on or off, so that the option is now more obvious to players.

Do note that this was already possible in previous versions with an inventory item (which is still in the current version), so it isn’t necessary to re-download the game if you wish to toggle text sounds.

In addition, we also fixed a few minor text and graphical errors we had initially missed. We would like to thank everyone who has played this game!

Does this developer have any other RPGM games?
Kurousagi has made two other games. One is a short game called Ayame's Errand ~Seeking Radish~ (菖蒲のおつかい ~Seeking radish~) for RPG Maker VX Ace focusing around a convenience store. As of this post, it has yet to be translated.

The other is an escape room game called Entlaufen (エントラオフェン) for RPG Maker VX Ace which is currently still in development. You can read more at their Twitter and blog.

Ah, that definitely is a bit of an issue; thanks for bringing that to our attention!

That particular file is one included with the RPG Maker VX RTP, so it looks like we accidentally forgot to include those files in the latest version of the game. Sorry about that!

I'll let our editor know immediately so she can upload a new version with those RTP files included as soon as possible, though if you want to play the game in the meantime, you should be able to do so if you download and install the RPG VX RTP.

In any case, we'll make sure to mention here once we've uploaded a version that includes those RTP files.

Okay, this issue and any similar ones should now be fixed in the currently uploaded version, though if anybody encounters any further issues, please let us know so we can fix it as soon as possible!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Miharu71, and I am sorry for any inconveniences.

I have fixed it, so please re-download the game. Then move all of your "Save_.rvdata" files to the latest version of the game, and you should be able to continue.

hi sorry to bring this up like a noob but...the hallway part where this ghost girl keeps reseting me to the right side of screen is annoying i am at this for days and have no clue plz help T-T

Ah, now I know what you are talking about! Unfortunately, you can never really exit out of the hallway, so you must find a way to get that ghost to talk to you. In order for you to progress further in that area, here's an abridged version to help you out:

Show
- First you must make sure someone else joins you, so try exiting out the front doors.

- If you have already done that, go to the Music Room and after the events there, pick up the key by the piano.

- Then go to Former Classroom 2 and watch the events unfold there, and pick up a key there.

- Go across the hall to Former Classroom 1 and follow it through to pick up a Wooden Board outside in the courtyard.

- Then go back to the warping hallway and examine the top corpse for a key to the Rooftop.

- Now go back to the Music Room, then keep going northeast to go to the Rooftop.

- Once you see the full story, now go back to the warping hallway.

- Now you can talk to the ghost there to finish that scenario.

Yes, they used the character generator from Kimagure After. (Do note that the link may contain NSFW art.)
Just click on the fifth button marked 「同人ソフト」 and look at the 「著作権フリー 立ちキャラクター素材集」 series.
