Progress Report

Quick news (12/16/2016)

I feel much better now and is currently slowly working again on Kaia game. This week I won't include full information about the progress, because it won't look much significant to you, guys, so let's say like that:
- currently 45% of the episode 2 is completed!
And no, I can't say the progress is going slowly. The point is that the 2nd episode is 2-3 times longer than the 1st, has much more locations, cutscenes and dialogues.
I still don't know the exact date of the release, but, according to what's done, there's possibility it'll be in January. What's more, on the day of the release I'll update game's info page. Stay tuned!

Here's little icing on the cake - random facts about the 2nd episode:
- You'll be able to play as Yuno (sadly, for not too long);
- Samvi's character development;
- The third main (and veeeery important) character will be introduced;
- Game's lore development, explanation of who are black and white magi, and what's the difference between them;
- A whole dungeon to explore;
- And a forest;
- New characters with their own stories to tell.

Progress Check, 12/10/2016

Current status of the chapter 2:
Story - 30% (implemented in the game)
Eventing - 28%
Mapping - 80%
Polishing - 5%
Other tasks:
1. Have made most of extra graphic.
2. Have successfully implemented lighting system.

Approximate date of 2nd episode's release is December-January. However, I've recently caught a cold, so the next weekly status update may not have that significant improvements.

Two announcements

Hey, guys! Sayo Jin's here!
Today I would like to announce two news.
1) The work on the second episode is slowly progressing, and here's a little sneak peek - one of the main maps of the 2nd episode and the characters.
Check it out.
2) I now have a twitter account! Here you can keep in touch with the game status. Of course, I'll make posts here, but more frequently on Twitter account - @Sayo_Jin

Announcement

Chapter 1 is Released!

I hate making promises, because my plans always change quickly. This time it's... for good?
Anyway, the first chapter (a.k.a. episode) of the game is out! I've done polishing on 100% and tested the game 1 million times. Still, it may have bugs and mistakes in dialogues (English isn't my native). If you find them - please, contact me, and I'll fix them in the next update.

Enjoy!

Progress Report

Good news, everyone!

The first episode - "Witch's Daughter" - will be released next week.
Current status of the episode is:
Story - 99.9% (including additional dialogues and monologues)
Eventing - 99.9%
Mapping - 100%
Polishing - 50%

So, I have to implement only one dialogue, and the rest will be polishing. It means:
1. Checking dialogues, fixing mistakes in them and sometimes writing extra lines.
2. Checking events, fixing errors (all major errors have already been fixed).
3. Checking tilesets and characters' sprites (player shouldn't be able to go through objects such as crates or closets).
4. Testing the game on two laptops (just installation checking and quick walkthrough).

It may sounds serious and time-consuming, but I'll be able to complete all the tasks in 2-3 days.
And no more blog updates until the release.

Where's the game, Sayo?!

Hello, guys. Sayo Jin's here.
Many of you may wondering, where is the demo or the first episode. The answer is - it's almost ready.

Current status of the first episode is:
Plot - 100%
Mapping - 100%
Eventing - 85%
Polishing - 50%

I don't have the exact date when the episode will be released (because of the usual winter study rush before the end of the semester and all that routine jazz), but I hope that it'll be done next week.

Thank you for your attention and patience!
