Why didn't YOU play this game? (LET ME HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS)

So I'm curious as to why you haven't played this game.

I got a little bit of a break this summer, about a couple weeks worth. I was looking through some projects of mine, and I noticed that this game barely broke 100 downloads (and one of them was likely me testing it on another computer). This is one of my favorite releases, even though it never got much attention.

So, I'm curious as to why you didn't play this game. Why is it not interesting, and what would you like to see done better? What would interest you enough to play this game? I have my own thoughts as to why this title was largely neglected (and I can share it in the comments if someone is interested), but I'm curious as to why people aren't interested in this title despite it being featured at one point.

Perhaps you played the game and didn't care for it enough to leave any feedback? That would be helpful, too.

Or maybe you're even looking at this page now and thinking, "This isn't interesting to me." Then why not? What is it that I can do better or focus on more in the future, both with my game page and the game itself?

Thoughts, comments, critiques? I'm open to any and all criticism: let it rip!

I realize am late to the party, but I looked over this again and I figured I can chime in! For me it doesn't appear as anything of a hook because.. well, battles are the focus.

And don't get me wrong, I LOVE me some good dungeon crawling, but
for one I prefer having things to juggle (so auto-heal/revive, no customization at all etc. makes it far less attractive to me, and that goes to many other battle focused games I have seen and played. I like having to navigate and keeping my party healthy and optimized for my strategies)

For two, it is VERY hard to describe the special intricacy of a given battle system. It's a boss rush, but I have no idea what those bosses look like. Are the battles smooth n a run against time/damage, or long and with lots of buffing and build up? I am not familiar with what style you use, so that is a big question mark for me too. Additional effect can be anything from added debuffs (a useful but boring classic) to multiple ways to use a spell - say, you being able to use the same spell on your party and the enemy for different effect, depending.
I know the frame - bosses, caves, party. But I have no concept for how it will actually feel in the game.

For story based games (such as adventures or text-based games), you can tell by the general story set-up and flavor of the writing showcased if you are likely to enjoy the style.
For RPGs it will likely be the world that is built and the characters. Those are all easier to show off than mechanics.

I think that is why by itself it is challenging to really hook someone on it. That said, while it seems to revolve around this Archstone (story-wise), I have no idea what it does. What is the motivation? Do we get super powers, do we save something, why do we do what we do?
I also know little more than boss-rush, which by itself is not tickling my dungeon crawler senses, either.
Boss-rushes are very specialized, and so even if you liked the atmosphere/characters showcased on the page, you would know it would have relatively little impact on the enjoyment of the game (now music would be really helpful to have too! now that I think about it. That one ya'll hear a lot, and good battle tunes are a must for any dungeon crawler)
.. and I just saw you prolly actually do have some exploration going on lol. I figured it'd be just boss queues. Still, the general impression stands : )

That said, I do know from seeing other works that you are a competent creator, and it is why I subscribed and hope to keep an eye out for it. (if I ever so have the fancy to play a boss rush or just something battle-centric).
For combat orientated games, that previous experience with given genre conventions/devs/studios really helps more than any description, imho.
Got this bumped in latest post with really interesting blog post title. So I'm intrigued. So here are my cents.

First, I noticed that the color scheme is not my thing just like Archie said. It hurts. By graphics alone, I'd skip the game.

Second, I hate default frontview. Anything uses frontview took away my interest by 60%. Unless there's a strong reason to play the game, like some "eye-candy", or just because it's my friend's game.

Third, you put no leveling as feature, for me, it's not a feature. I like grinding and I like progression. You put no leveling already took away my interest. If I want to play "no leveling" game, I might as well as play action based game. Granted, it's a personal interest that might not resemble majority's interest.
I actually am different from the majority and do like front view battle systems though I don't prefer them over side view, but I don't prefer side view over front view either, I like both.

But just as it has been for some others here, the graphics are also a bit much on my own eyes too.

The design of your artwork is good in my opinion but the colours are too much for me, and, for me, it's straining on me eyes in daytime as well.
I would actually like to try it, but there does not appear to be a download link.
