CHARACTER BIOGRAPHIES





Name: Grey Firefly
Age: 21 years old

Biography:
Just before his 20th birthday, Grey became the sole guardian of his younger brother Samuel. He works as a temp for the Refuge Regional Government, doing odd jobs, mainly Demonstratta removal from civilian areas, to support him and his brother. The job is poorly paid, and Grey had to quit his training to be closer to Samuel to support him.
A small part of Grey resents his parents for dying, and Samuel’s needs for ruining his dreams. This causes him to occasionally vent his anger at the wrong people. He has a good heart, but of late life has ruined his usual zest for life.

Important event timeline:
Age 6: Samuel is born.
Age 10: Grey enters training for a future career in the local military
Age: 19: Grey's parents die leaving him the sole career of Samuel.






Name: Phia Landrea
Age: 20 years old

Biography:
Having been born a twin, Phia had a very strong connection to her sister, Yolanda, until she was kidnapped by the Coven, aged seven. Stricken by grief at having been unable to save one of his children Phia’s father, Mortikai, left his wife and remaining daughter to travel to the surface to search for her. That was the last time that Phia saw here father.
Despite everyone’s insistence, Phia still believes that her father and sister are still alive, her sister through her twin bond, and her father because his last promise to her mother was that he wouldn’t return till there daughter was rescued.
Due to the loss of her sister and father, Phia has a problem with abandonment and tends to over compensate this by following anyone that she becomes emotionally attached with to the ends of the earth, despite any risk to her personal safety, and sometimes sanity.

Important event timeline:
Age 7: Yolanda kidnapped by the Coven; her father leaves to rescue Yolanda
Age 9: Phia enrolls in the Rosewood Academy, the only Harnnistry academy on Treaty Island
Age 14: Mother dies, after never having completely recovered from the loss of her daughter and husband






Name: Lola Minetti
Age: 19 years old

Biography:
Lola is one born with the second-sight. Due to this fact, she has never really been fully integrated with the other people she has been forced to live with.
Her lack of acceptance in the community is due to the Coven, who actively seek to control and use people with the second sight to further their plans. The covens covertness’ of these powers has lead to the popular belief that the Second-Sight is an evil gift, despite this being far from the truth.
She lives alone, now that her mother and father have passed away. Because of this, and the hatred for her gift by the members of her community, she finds it hard to trust anyone with even the simplest things, let alone her personal thoughts or feelings.

Important event timeline:
Age 7: Lola discovers she has the Second-Sight when she stops an old woman dying from an accident
Age 10: Lola is bullied by the local children to the point where she gives up her powers
Age 13: Lola’s father and mother pass away, defending her from an unsuccessful kidnap attempt by the Coven
Age 14: Lola moves out of the city to live in solitude, decides to use her powers again, to prove her bullies wrong






Name: Brock Matson
Age: 25 years old

Biography:
Brock is the most highly honoured member of the Royal Army, having proven his courage and honour to the protection of his people in many campaigns, both defensive and offensive.
Brock and his parents moved to Sanctuary from the surface after he managed to escape the Coven’s Slave camps as a child, an event that he doesn’t like to talk about.
Brock is compelled to achieve in the army, and fight on, due to his kidnapping and the years of abuse he suffered at the hands of the Coven.

Important event timeline:
Age 4: Brock is kidnapped by the Coven
Age 7: Brock manages to escape the Coven Slave Camps, and returns to his parents
Age 8: Brock and his parents move back to Sanctuary, to allow Brock to forget the horrors of the Coven’s Slave Camps.
Age 16: Brock joins the Sanctuary army, to fight back against the coven.
