This is my Custom Skill System..!

In fact it is my FIRST ever completed custom system..! I know it isn't the most beautiful but everything works, and I think that I have added enough attractiveness to it to allow you to use it without your eyes bleeding..!

What follows is a lil explanation of what is going on in each screen..!
___________________________________________________________________________________

The first screen allows you to choose the Character you would like to alter. In the above example, only the main character, Grey Firefly, is shown but it will look a lot less empty once you've found the other four members of your party..!
The dark cloud background scrolls diagonally down-right, and the green cursor (the box around Grey's Name Plate) flashes and will move to show which character you have highlighted...
___________________________________________________________________________________

In the second screen, you will see the list of the skills for whichever character that you have selected, plus there current level in said skills. In the top right hand corner you can see the current points that you have left to spend on Grey's skills...
___________________________________________________________________________________

And in the final screen, you can see that once you have decided on which skill you would like to level up, you are given information about said skill (see the top of the screen) information about what will change with the skill once it attains a new level (See bottom right hand of screen) and that you are given a final chance to choose if you will spend that precious skill point..!
Looks like a fine skill system. I really question the utility of the Risky Move skill though. If it has a 10% chance of doing 400% damage, that means that, on average over a long period of time, it does 40% of regular damage per turn. Considering that the attack command assumedly averages 100% damage, Risky Move will average out to less damage over a battle. what's the point of ever using Risky Move?

I must admit that I hadn't thought of that Fredo... Thanks for bringing it to my attention... I think I'm going to have to remove that skill for the full game... :-)
Hell, it's prettier than what I could come up with.
Maybe you could make it 50% chance to hit and 10% chance to crit?

That is a great idea..!
