Plot

Mafiosi: Cosa Passata is the fourth kinetic novel about a mafia family known as the Gallos. The story is told through the eyes of the men and women of the Gallo family, who range from the ages of 28-36, as the battle for control over the five families of the New York criminal world reaches a peak.

WARNING: If you have not read the first 3 novels in the series, it is crucial that you do so before reading the following spoilers:

The story begins by tying up the loose ends of the initial trilogy (in a rather unconventional way)… by diving deeper into the Gallo family’s history. When the story *does* pick up in the year 2006, a lot has changed for the survivors of Mafiosi 3’s events. The Gallo family has become even more deeply entwined in the inner workings of the New York city criminal underworld. Longstanding family alliances are on the cusp of imploding, and Ronaldo Gallo is being targeted by a powerful foe, as well as a worthy adversary. Serving as the prologue to a new trilogy, this fourth chapter finally sets the course for the Gallo family’s mafia legacy.

Mafiosi is a tale of loyalty and deceit, murder and survival, and both the strength and frailty of familial bonds. This particular novel serves as the third (and most important) part of a much longer saga, following the Gallos from childhood to old age as they are pitted against the outside forces of the mafia world, and eventually, each other as well.

This installment is divided into five books (30 chapters total). This is the beginning of a new trilogy, focusing on the Gallo family legacy within the Mafia world.

Rated 16+ (to be safe) for language, adult situations, and violence.

Blog #2 - Work has been done :P

Well, I've paid a little more attention to the commercial version of Mafiosi 1 than this latest entry, but I've still managed to get 3 chapters finished over the last month or so. That means we're halfway to the final mass release! For the record, I'm 13 chapters through the editing phase of Mafiosi 1's new version, so I really have been working my butt off on the series lately.

In other Crime Opera news, sprite work will begin sometime at the end of the month, and I couldn't be any more excited! Music tracks have been made, with more coming soon, and we also have a marketer/kickstarter pro we've added to the team to help us with advertising and project planning. We are still looking for a background artist, so by all means, if you are one or know one, let me know!

Back to Mafiosi 4 - it's going well. It's definitely got a different feel to the writing for these first 6 chapters, but I'm hoping the big reveals keep readers glued to their monitors throughout. I'm at just over 15,000 words so far (damn straight, I'm not kidding around here). It's pretty crazy to think that the first 6 chapters alone will be half the length of the first entry in the series. Kind of awesome too.

As always, I will update when I've got some more to talk about!

Man, does Gretel ever stand out in that picture.
Yep, that's a problem that has plagued the series from the beginning with the resources not all fitting well together. That's going to change when I upgrade the Mafiosi VNs to "Crime Opera", as it will have all original art and music, as well as edited scripts and additional paths.
