Progress Report #1: Title screen

I'm trying to keep working on the game non-stop even during this period of time where I should also study for my exams. Eeeeeh.

I came up with an idea for the game's title screen so I decided to do that next. It may remind you of the title screen from the first Karma Flow. It's Flo staring outside the window again.

It's animated. It still needs some improvements, but it's a start:

It's in Italian, for now, I know. Forgive me.

The game will also feature a second version of this title screen starring the second protagonist, Steph.

I'm also thinking about extending it in the future. I would like to draw all the parts missing on the right: the desk and all the stuff on it, like that radio (that may broadcast the latest news), various papers, documents and photos. That portion of the title screen will become some sort of a "central hub" where player can view the targets' info, choose a mission and do other things like that. Some sort of an "HQ within the title screen". It's an idea that I have in mind, in order to make a complex title screen. But it's just that, an idea. I still have to see if it's worth the effort.

I really liked how this title screen turned out to be, despite the improvements that need to be done to make it look better.

See ya on the next update! :D

I'd like to suggest that her hair move as well when the clothes do, so it looks like an actual breeze is blowing. It'd make it look better, I think. Otherwise, it's looking great so far.

Thank you for your feedack, Liberty! And that feature too, wow! *_*

Yeah, I was thinking about animating her hair as well. At first, I thought about animating only a few of the things that were there, in order to not overdo it so much. But yeah, I've animated her shirt, her eyes, the city, the radio... at this point, it's strange not to see her hair animated as well. xD I'll surely do it.

I'm glad you like it!

If I may suggest, do the full ITA version first and then translate it to other languages when everything is carved in stone. It'd just waste your time to translate something and then have to change it because you changed something in the ITA version.

Yeah, that would be the best thing to do. Translating while developing the game would've result in having an ENG release (almost) ready together with the ITA one. But yeah, it would make things difficult for me if I have to change things.

Beta testers!? No, this game needs a goddamn exorcist!

I like the little animation. Using an updating title screen is always an awesome idea, even if it is a lot of work. It's a really good titlescreen prototype.

Thank you, Dragnfly!
I still need to work a bit on the shirt animation, and maybe add some sort of hair animation, but I like the results so far.
I want to add a lot of things in the title screen, so this is only the beginning.

Nobody should complain about you making a game in your own language. We English players should count ourselves lucky that you're cool with having your games translated into English. Just sayin':)

It's no problem at all. If I could, I would translate the game in every language possible. And I would really like to deliver already translated material, but I still have to decide if I want to translate the game while developing it or after the Italian version is complete, like I did with the first Karma Flow.

Not that it would've taken me that long to translate those HUD elements. I'm just... I suppose I'm just lazy. xD
