The World Is Destroyed And It's All Because of You is an Adventure game where you play as the hero who failed to save the world. As a broken man, you decide to pull yourself together in an attempt to bring some good to what's left of the world. However, no matter how hard you try, things always seem to work out against your favor.

This is a side quest-driven game created for the Winterruption event. It is therefore very non-linear in nature. Due to some team difficulties, the game won't be released in its shiniest state for the event's deadline. I, Luiishu535, sincerely wants to apologize for this. Further enhancements to the game may occur at a later date.

Please understand.

A Big Thank You From Ya Boy

Yo, what's cracking? It's ya boy Luiishu here, coming at you with a big hug!

The Winterruption event was pretty hectic for all of us at team "We screwed everything up, but we're trying to fix it now, okay?", but despite all of the game's shortcomings, a lot of you seemed to enjoy T.W.I.D.A.I.A.B.O.Y for what it was. It's a huge motivation for me that people managed to enjoy our little creation and I'm sure the same goes for the rest of team. Thank you all for your kind words!

Anyway, that's all I wanted to say, I think. If you read this; thank you and I hope I didn't waste your time.

The World Ends With You?
Thanks for playing, hommes! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

The reason why the world of TWIDAYABOY looks alright is because the humans had to flee underground from the apocalypse. The world is actually in a pretty rough shape on the surface.

The game only has two endings ATM. The first ending is unlocked if you decide to kill the king and the other one occurs at the end of the side quest with the frog.

I played through this a few days ago, and while it's not entirely what I expected, the twist you gave to all the quests was a pretty good idea. The one thing that struck me as especially odd though is that for a post-apocalyptic setting, most parts of the world seem to work surprisingly well.

Unfortunately, I haven't managed to find out exactly how many endings there actually are, as even after multiple playthroughs I could only ever get two of them. Maybe it would be an idea to add a tab to this game page with instructions on how to get all endings, in case players get stuck like me?

Anyway, thanks for the unusual experience!
Must've been the RIP WORLD grave that influenced my writing. xD

Same here. I just need to crack the code for spriting now.

Thanks, buddy! I've learned from the best. ; ) I really like your avatar by the way! The hair is really sexy.
Hehe, that one post sounded rather dark at the end there.

But yeah it was great working with you Luiishu, and you too Kylaila! Maybe some day I'll be able to come back and make some more sprites for this project. We'll see.

Your custom tileset artwork is phenomenal by the way Luiishu.
My English becomes a lot weirder when I'm in a hurry. xD Didn't intend to sound that gloomy.

Thanks for the support, my good buddy! I had a good time working with you and Gredgy on this.

I'll probably get back to you in the near future with some info on my upcoming project(s). : )
That sounds quite gloomy.
Either way, I mean we've talked before and I am happy you feel good about that decision and focus on what you wanna do : )

Go luiishu!

So this game is marked as completed now? Does that mean any content has been added, or just that no further work can be done on it?

Either way, if the current version is going to stay the way it is, that sounds like a good time to give this a download. Hopefully I can get around to playing it soon.

It's not bug-free, but I'm going to mark it as complete for now. It's a quick jam game and I think it's best to leave it at that ATM since both me and Gredge are quite busy as it is.

Some things worth mentioning:
- Most of the music won't loop. Some tracks aren't fully complete either.
- Not all of the graphics are finished.
- There are a few minor bugs, but nothing game-breaking AFAIK.
- There may be a typo or two somewhere.

These things may or may not be updated in the future. I can't give a straight answer to this ATM, though.

I've come to realize that my days are numbered, so I'd like to put my main focus on some other projects right now. Hope y'all understand.

Glad to hear that you're still alive and well, buddy! I'm very glad to hear that you managed to enjoy the game! :D I really enjoy working with you two and I hope that we'll be able to do stuff again in the future (finish CaH for example)!

Concerning the Undertale comparison, I'm pretty sure that Frogge was referring to the Mayor's Palace theme since it actually is quite similar to Amalgam in harmony, mainly because all of the chords in the progression are major. I also used the Giygas soundfont for that track, which Toby Fox likes to use as well (Earthbound soundfonts in general). Still, I find pretty hilarious how everything you make is compared to Undertale nowadays. xD At least this comparison made sense. xD To take it to the next level though; the creepy grandpa track that you composed sound a bit similar to "Ooo" and "Long Elevator". We can't escape it, buddy! x'D
Wow, I really like how this turned out! It was fun to explore, or in my case re-explore, this beautiful, broken world. And when I saw John Bardman's song at the end of his quest, complete with it's filler text and messed up limericks, I laughed for a solid minute at how awful he sounded. It was bad, I didn't change the filler text, and the end result I feel is perfect in just how awful John Bardman's song was. I like to think his song summed up my contribution to this project.

Just a note in passing: I don't really post here anymore, because my schedule has vastly changed. Partway through development, I really dropped the ball, and I feel bad because I left Luiishu and Kylaila to do all the work. My job has gotten ridiculous lately and I don't really have time for game development anymore.

I was supposed to make custom sprites for this (like grandpa and the "suspicious individual in the cabin"), but I was never able to finish it for this project. I was able to do the writing and most of the developing (eventing), but I pulled out of the development early on. Mad props to Luiishu, because he took charge and did the hard work of putting all the pieces together and finishing it with some awesome tilesets, a super-secret bonus ending, and a plethora of tweaks overall to turn this into a great game. He also made a rockin' soundtrack! Kylaila provided constant feedback and testing, and was the morale captain of the team. Kylaila provided consultation as well as a pantheon of dragons for morale and inspiration. These two people were some of the best I have ever worked with, and they did an amazing job picking up the pieces after I fell out of production.

After finally getting around to playing the end result, I really, really like what they did with it. It's a great game! Hope to see more of it in the future. I want the legend to continue, and it wouldn't be here in its current form if it wasn't for Luiishu and Kylaila. MASSIVE props go to Luiishu and Kylaila for putting together a great game!

(Also, I saw the "That one track (the only one that I actually made) sounds like Undertale's" comment on Liberty's Let's Play. Made me bust out laughing when I watched the video. Luiishu and Kylaila know why!)
You guys are adorable. <3 Thank you very much for your support!

A very interesting premise, and a strong contender for the "Best Game Title" Misao already

Oh, thanks for reminding me to nominate it for that.

A very interesting premise, and a strong contender for the "Best Game Title" Misao already, I have to say. I'm definitely putting this on my list of games to play in the near future.
Thanks, buddy! It took me about five seconds to come up with it. xD Looking forward to try out your game as well!
