We All Fall Down is a post-apocalyptic survival RPG using the Pioneer Valley resource packs in a combination of Mythos and High Fantasy to create a war-torn wasteland of 1940s America. Set in a loose-realism Central Texas, 100 years later after nuclear devastation. It shares Western and Mystery themes along with Apocalyptic and Horror elements with the overarching design of Survival.

Story:
Follow the story of two strangers who find themselves waking in a derelict bunker with little idea as to how they got there and why. As fate would have it, the two are more entwined than they know as they are both thrown into a world of survival against the odds that the Texas Wasteland has to offer. Men and monsters lurk around every corner, waiting and willing to stop them from finding the answers they seek.

But is there more to these two than either one is letting on?

Features:
Turn-Based Combat with On-Screen Encounters
Engaging Battle System that will keep you on your toes!

Atmospheric Environments of Post-Apocalyptic America
Stealing System (for all those who love thievery)

New DEMO Release!

After doing a lot of updating, adding and fixing We All Fall Down, I'm finally comfortable with releasing a second version of the demo! And while not A LOT has changed, A LOT has changed. Taking from testers, comments and NTC3's review, I've made significant changes to the overarching storyline and some key gameplay aspects.

Let's go over some of the changes, additions and fixes, shall we?

New shopkeeper! A travelling gypsy woman with new items and stock.

-Story has changed in many ways. There's much more mystery and everything isn't over said or told through over-exposition, you'll learn more as you go. Natural, right?

-Firearms are now working, but not using Kread's script anymore as it kept causing too many problems I couldn't fix easily. Firearms are simply now skills with a high AP cost, but don't really require ammo. This isn't the best fix I want but it will do for now until I do something else.

-Dialogue has been cut down where it was too bloated. More people and things to interact with in the wasteland and even have choices on how to handle some wandering local baddies.

-Fixed a lot of little graphical bugs and passibility errors. (probably still more out there, ugh)

-More quests!

-The DEMO now has a start and end, unlike before at a certain point the DEMO would just end. The DEMO is now basically the first chapter and sets up for the rest of the game.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things, but overall I feel the new release is a much cleaner and clearer version. I really took all criticisms to heart and did my best to work on them and just generally make things more fun!

There's still a lot of work to do and even with what I have now there's still more I want to add or expand. I will strive to continually make this game the best it can be!

*note* Since I'm planning on a commercial release way in future, I am only working with scripts and resources that are commercial-free or that I own or have commissioned. This will make progress in some areas slow, but ultimately better for me and the players. :)

That's all for now! Hopefully you enjoy the new DEMO experience and please comment here, the gamepage or message me if you have any questions or find any bugs. Oh, and a review never hurts! They really do help me. <3

Thank you! I hope you enjoy :)
Played some, and really like the "Western meets apocalypse" vibe. Good job!

Your firearm setup appears to be stuffed up a bit, InfectionFiles; you can equip the ammo as a weapon, nothing in the ammo slot, and the weapon is a skill you can't use even with the ammo in the weapon slot. I think you messed up the slot ID setting for the ammo items.

Well, I've beaten it yesterday (review in progress) and didn't get that. Weird.

Lol, whaat? That shouldn't even be possible. Could it have been food or water intake?

As for the firearms, I swear something is happening somewhere. It's been working for me but I've gotten the report of it not too. I might have made it worse with the recent update. Well thank you either way and I'll check it out soon.

Yeah, the game over was because I ran out of water. You should really put in a warning or something. :P

That's something I used to have but it was a sort of frankenscript and got in the way more than it was worth. The water/hunger used to have a HUD on screen at all times but it messed with cutscenes really bad. There's something I can try to make it simple like the characters stating they need X or something.

It's in the main menu, which I know is a bit of a pain to always check. :(

Perhaps approaching the point of being low on food/water would also affect your other stats as well? Just to make this all more interesting and realistic. Although, I guess it'll then make eating/drinking till you go way past the maximum even more of a priority tactic then it is right now. :)

Another question: is food/water consumption a constant, or are there any factors affecting them?

There actually is something like that but I found it way too harsh, since if you're in dire need of food or water it becomes even more unattainable. Which is real lol but I found less fun.

And there's no outside influences at the moment. They are both set up differently and there's a good deal of options you can do with it. But it's a constant atm :)

Well, from my experience there's not really a problem with the food/water supplies so far in the demo - almost the opposite, really, so this would help them matter a bit more. And like I said before, you can get both bars past full state.

And I think it would be interesting if walking consumed less of either resource then the current constant, but running increased it relative to it. Moreover, water level would go down really slow in the bunker, slower than now in the buildings, same when outside but in the shade, and much faster when out in the open sun.

I'll see what I can do maybe make that more interesting! And yes you can go over the max so in case nothing goes to waste if you're eating/drinking a lot.

And I definitely like that idea! It makes sense for at least water to run slower indoors so I'll check that out. Thanks ^.^
Heeeyyyy awesome to finally see this game! Looks really interesting and my kinda game! I'm gonna give it a try later on!
