Name: Hakuda's wife visiting

Developer: Goddialga

Story: You are a village woman chosen to be sacrificed to the mountain god, but there are preparations to be made unless you want things to go horribly wrong.

Writing: First, the grammar. This would be something to complain about, except, in this case, I feel the broken English actually adds a very distinct charm to the game. I don't feel the game would actually be as good as it ended up being if the translation wasn't a bit broken. The game is mostly the narrative and it is a very charming, sad, bitter-sweet narrative.

This is the most charming opening ever in video games. I mean, ever.

Gameplay: The bad is that this game is painfully short. I mean, painfully. I finished this in, I think, five minutes, and I had two of the three endings. Yeah, like that. There isn't really much. Find items. Make the mountain god happy. Don't make him upset, and you get the happy ending. Otherwise, you get eaten. I haven't figured out the second ending. I only got endings one and three. The game takes place in two rooms of a traditional ancient Japanese house. You find letters that give you instructions. Sometimes you need certain items to find other items. There isn't a lot to do here. This game is just so unfortunately short. You reach the end and "That's it? That's all there is?" There's just so much more you wish you could see and this game barely gives you a moment to enjoy it.

Tommy! How's the peeping? Tommy, how's the peeping? Tommy. Tommy. Tommy. Tommy. Tommy.

Graphics: Simply gorgeous. The muted, nighttime tones and the character appearance and expression is so beautiful. True, there's some pillow-shading on that sake bag, but that's only one error. This game beautiful.

Music: Has the sound of Western music influenced by traditional Japanese. It's very emotional and really sets the tone of the game and the story.

Conclusion: I really love everything about this game, except the length. It's just such a shame that this simply beautiful game couldn't give you a little more time to appreciate it.

Wow! Thank you for the review! Sorry for the bad English since we are non-natives and students with not much experience about English language and translation work. I am surprised it ended up making a positive effect for your case.

I agree it was too short that I hope for more!
