I would have more makerscore If I did things.

Ah, the Succurost was actual the second boss I ever made in RPGmaker, too!
Really like it as a trickster-type boss, but action-economy really fucks most bosses. Swarm-type bosses are really effective, however, as you saw =X

Unfortunately, you're supposed to be able to enter the volcano at any time, so there's nothing that's going to change the entrance location.

Which means the game is essentially unbeatable. After all, you can't clear the volcano if the characters don't actually appear inside it. Nor can you clear the tower to the east of the guild house either.

Normally I don't mind grinding in games too much. The problem with Idle Isle is that grinding feels rather unrewarding if you put a lot of your time and energy into developing black magic on one of the characters. And god forbid you invest in two characters. After all, none of the weapons up the strength of your magic attack stat. As a result, your offensive magic like Flame and whatnot is extremely weak in the long run. So much so, you'd be better off using regular attacks against the later enemies.

The lack of magic attack upgrades is noted, and the grinding being unrewarding is my fault- mistakes to learn from.

The game is not unbeatable since you don't need to defeat the dragon(Or clear the tower) to get 1,000,000,000G- you can grind that out with quests (which would take awhile!) The dragon and tower are just shortcuts. Of course, I added the dragon and tower specifically so you wouldn't have to grind it out if you didn't want to if, say, grinding felt unrewarding =X
Either way, I don't think I'll be rebalancing this old game.
I've uploaded a download that should fix the progress-halting bugs, however.
I still wonder though- did you press X when in front of the Volcano warp? Because it turns out its not a touch warp but an interaction warp. Unintuitive, I know.
Yeah, I've interacted with it multiple times. The problem is that your party doesn't actually appear inside the volcano when you use it.
