In the world of Arcadea, people can accomplish their dreams. How? Through video games of course! Everybody who lives in Arcadea has a special arcade machine they can visit in their dreams that lets them fulfill their strongest wishes. Whether it’s to go on an adventure, or make friends, or fall in love, or solve a mystery, or completely start a new life, there’s a game made just for them...
By playing these arcade machines, you can find out a lot about a person...their aspirations and their goals for example. Oh and also their regrets, their insecurities, and their biggest mistakes. Huh...video games can’t be that deep right? Must be a bug or something.
Speaking of which, how do you even get to this world in the first place?
The game follows Maisie, a new arrival to Arcadea. She’s not very interested in all this gaming stuff; her only goal is to find an important person. But along the way, she can’t help but be roped into other people’s problems. She also can’t help that the arcade machines seem to glitch around her. Alot.

Bug Fixes for ARCADEA Demo v0.2

Hello everyone~ Thank you for the amazing feedback for the demo! The comments have been overwhelmingly positive which is amazing for me, who has (very) little experience with game making!
Of course, special thanks to everyone who pointed out bugs and glitches! I have provided the bug fix list below (8/28/18):
-added a sparkly effect to the alien computer in MBM
-fixed direction on fisherman’s tackle box
-fixed variable count on Emi outside of house
-disabled the menu while star is moving
-fixed various typos and spacing errors
The updated ARCADEA demo v0.2 is now available to download!

"arcade machines seem to glitch around her", reminds me of that cute girl in Wreck it Ralph that couldn't escape the video game she was in because she was a glitch.

The term is sometimes used to describe cute, young girls. That's probably what the intent of the original comment was about, which is fine. But yea, the inappropriate connotation is definitely not related to this game at all xD

Yes Kawaii fits a lot more! But there's actually lots of people who use the word 'lolicon' (or just 'loli') to describe cute, young(-looking?) girls non-sexually! But I see the word with a sexual connotation therefore I don't like hearing it to describe this game if that makes sense.
Maisie's not prepubescent (she's 17) and as I have stated earlier, there is no sexualization involved (which is why the term 'lolicon' is improper when describing the game haha).

Yeah I get that xD My art style does make characters look really young. It's probably from being a huge fan of Aoki Ume LOL Hopefully, the ages become more apparent when you see the characters in the game o:
Also the picture in the menu is supposed to be a chibi version of Maisie! Her actual character art is definitely not that short looking.
